Commentary by HT - HT's Opinion - The Ugliness of the Internet

HT was cruising the local blogs and forums tonight and realized just how ugly the Internet and people can get. Not taking a sides one way or another, but the nastiness, name calling etc. has reached the point where it is at an all time low. Don't get me wrong, I myself have been sarcastic and smart mouthed on occasion on forums and blogs , but have never taken it to the level of personal insults about one's appearance or family or released personal information or someone's identity. Have I made fun of someones online persona or political slant, yes but if I cross the line hopefully someone will let me know.

   The internet for me is for fun (with the blog) and the occasional political debate on the CCC which can get heated at times.I have been anonymously threatened myself so I am aware a threat  is scary, especially that I may have exposed my family to something that they are completely innocent or aware of. I had thought about revealing my identity at one time, but with the current state of some of the local blogs and forums there is no way I would reveal who I am. And there are people online that I actually would like to meet. I think we could be friends, I feel like I know some of your personalities pretty well and would enjoy your company, but there is no way in this climate I could take the chance of jeopardizing my family. And that's a shame...

 Those who continue to write personal, ugly remarks about individuals, I won't mention any names , you know who you are....Come on this can be fun, lighten up on the vile remarks, they only make yourself look bad.....

Boycott Katoanon Commentaries

HT calls all readers and bloggers  for an official boycott of the Katoanon Commentaries at katoanon commentaries especially on Monday. Kato has a demeaning, sexist feature called "Cowboy Picture of the Week" Showing obviously steroid pumped up men in various stages of undress which is very degrading to men everywhere...Cato depicts men as mere sex objects and not the great leaders ,providers, warriors that we are. Cato needs to get back in the kitchen where she belongs and start obeying her husband. HT would never allow Mrs. HT to show this type disrespect to the dominant male sex......Boycott Katoanon Commentaries until she desists....

Magdeburg Water Bridge

Even after you see it, it is still hard to believe!
Water Bridge in Germany .   What a feat!

Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long . . . now this is engineering!

This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany ,
As part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg , near Berlin .

Or just the weight of the water?

Answer:

It only needs to be designed to withstand the weight of  the water!

Why?

A ship always displaces an amount of water that weighs the same as the ship, regardless of how heavily a ship may be loaded 

Construction of the water link was started as early as in the 1930s but due to the World War 2 and subsequent division of Germany the work remained suspended till 1997. The aqueduct was finally completed and opened to the public in 2003

Help Save Clark Co.

HT wants to declare a temporary truce in the Blog Wars (which the Batblog seems to be winning) in order to join up with Goliath and GAW and other local bloggers and help save Clark Co. Goliath has posted some impressive ideas at  http://goliathandwimmens.blogspot.com/2011/08/goliath-solve-county-financial-problem.html and HT challenges other local bloggers to join Goliath and I and save our beloved County. HT has come up with some ideas and with your and our input we can solve this thing, and not allow Clark Co. to become laughing stock of the whole state.

HT's Ideas

**Have a County Aid Concert - Bring in Willie Nelson  of Farmaid fame,and other big artists, cut down the rest of Vissing Park and have a huge Woodstock type concert all proceeds going to the county.

**Have Jeff annex whole Co. - Jeffersonville's always bragging about having so much money let them annex CC and share the wealth...reduces the need for the Clark County politicians , Jeff becomes one of the biggest cities in the state a win, win proposition.

** Charge an entry fee on all County Political offices - Just like in the Kentucky Derby .If you want cushy government job put up an entry fee to be entered into the race. Also have all potential candidates take a rudimentary Economics class. Economics 101, you can't spend more money than you take in. If you fail class you are disqualified from Co. office. (This would probably disqualify 75% of current office holders)

** Form Voluntary Sheriff's Dept. - Issue badges, uniforms ,portable sirens , and official looking seals to paste on their own vehicles, No firearms (sorry Quasar). Hundreds would volunteer just for the chance to wear uniform and carry badge. Don't tell them they have no actual police powers. The volumes of all these volunteers on the street would reduce crime, jail overcrowding and reduce need for real paid cops.

**Adopt an Inmate Program -  For a nominal fee allow citizens to adopt an inmate. To do everyday chores, mow the grass, etc. for bigger projects building sheds, garages, hire a crew of inmates. Another win, win proposition, inmates get fresh air, exercise and good meals. The husband doesn't have to listen to nagging wife about chores. Wives get to boss around someone who has to actually listen (inmate)or they get sent back to jail. (Violent and sex offenders not eligible.)

** Multitask County Employees - Utilize manpower to the maximum, if somebody from one Dept. calls in sick or vacation day. Send out a Commissioner, Council member, Co.Attorney etc. to fill in let them see what it's like to actually work. Allow a sanitation or highway worker to fill in for absent Commissioner, Council or attorney. Make a versatile, efficient workforce...

** Create a Red Light District (ala Amsterdam) - Put it in a isolated area as not to offend some residents,  create a red light tax for only monies spent in that Dist. and watch the money roll in. Nothing sells like Sex, God, and Rock and Roll

** Improve our public image - HT googled Clark County Indiana (images) and looked who popped up not William Clark who Clark Co. named after (Lewis and Clark) but this dude (at right) who urinated onchairs at CC Court House.














HT wants all readers and local bloggers to come together and Save Clark County from the politicians who have put us on the brink of bankruptcy . Submit your ideas

Exclusive Update on My 1501 Club

HT continues to be illegally held and grilled by the JPD as yet no charges have been filed. I expected HT would fold like a cheap lawn chair, but so far he has hung tough.

 On the other hand NHBSM continues to sing like a bird, saying the 1501 Club is a Democratic hangout and no good Republican would be caught dead in there.. Some more rather incriminating photos have been released ( shown below) purportedly taken at the alleged prostitution / massage parlor. The validity of these photos are being questioned. My client HT has told me that he did have a light finger massage at the alleged prostitution / massage parlor, but nothing more. Completely  incidental contact, and completely legal. HT's family is holding up strong although Mrs.HT is heavily sedated. I want to emphasize that holding of HT is illegal, he
has not been charged and I have demanded his release. My clients meds have been withheld which is an irresponsible violation of his civil rights.

Exclusive to the BatBlog: The Jeffersonville Prostitution Ring

My client HT has asked me to fill in for him here on the BatBlog. First of all, I want to let everyone know HT has not been arrested but is being held and questioned about promoting the My1501 Massage Parlor,  by the JPD at this time. My client HT is innocent, I asked why he is being held and the two surveillance photos taken in front of 607 N. Shore Dr.(shown below) were presented to me. These are obvious forgeries and the truth will come out. The other two dudes in the picture, one who resembles local thug Pesty Flannigan and the ugly dude on the left (name unknown) I can't vouch for, they may be guilty as hell far as I know, but HT is innocent. The old dude in the bushes with a camera goes by the name NHBSM and was quoted as saying "I'm looking for Democrats" coming out of the alleged Prostitution/ Massage Parlor.
