SurvivorQuest Sports Challenge - Update

As of 10:30 A.M. I have 4 entries Liberal Hussy, Amy, Jules and Square Peg. I will extend the deadline for entries for tonight's game until 8:00 P.M. Kickoff is 8:30.

Another thing I want to throw at Goliath... How about granting immunity to the individual who does the best in the Ultimate Sports Challenge ??

I want to welcome Teams  Cool and Awesome to the BatBlog. HT will be hosting your next challenge the Ultimate Sport's Challenge which will run from  Thur. night thru next Monday night. I don't know how many of you are sport's  fan in this case NFL football, but I think it will be entertaining and everyone can participate.  The details of your Challenge is below.

Challenge Details :
This is the first week of the 2011-2012 NFL football season there is 1 game Thurs. night 13 games Sunday and 2 more Mon. night. Your challenge is to select the winners of the Thur. night game,  5 games of your choice of the Sunday Games , and the 2 Monday night games. That is a total of 8 games.

 Each member can pick their choices and E-mail them to a neutral referee in this case my attorney Jackie C. Chiles at   jackiecchiles@ gmail.com. (notice there are 2 c's in the middle) or posting to the comments section of the BatBlog. He will tabulate the entries, and the team that picks the most cumulative winners will be declared the winner. The entries for Thur.game New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers must be e-mailed before 5:00 P.M. Thur..

The other deadlines will be Sat.- Midnight for the Sunday games and 5: 00 P.M. Mon. for the Monday Games.

Remember you can pick any 5 games of your choice on the Sunday games:

* Tie Breaker in case of ties, each member should submit a number of total points they think will be  scored by both teams in the N. O Saints vs G.B. Packers  (example 62) it will only be used in case of ties, closest wins...

* HT is not sure if both Teams Cool and Awesome are equal in the number of members, if not I will drop the last received E-mail of the team with most members to make the Challenge equal and fair...

I realize some of you may not be football fans , but this can be fun, ask for advice, check the point spreads , even guessing can be just as effective......

Husband of the Year Awards

Over the next several weeks the BatBlog will be releasing the winners of the BatBlog's first annual "Husband of the Year" award. The winners have gone out of their way to make their significant other feel like Queens. Today's first award is a honorable mention winner "Big" Tom Mcglaughin of  Bear island, Canada. The Mcglaughin's live on an island on Lake Ontario where "Big" Tom allows his wife Martha to paddle him across the lake every day for his cigarettes and beer, this allows Martha to stay in tip top shape physically in order to be able to chop wood, and other chores around the cabin. Congratulations " Big Tom"....

President Rick Perry are we ready for this ???

It's early in the 2012 Presidential Race but Gov.Rick Perry of Texas has emerged as a viable candidate for the G.O.P. He had a book written for him earlier about his views. Some say the book will come back to haunt as he has some very controversial opinions about Social Security among other things. HT doesn't know a lot about Perry but thought this interview was interesting. It is rumored that Sarah Palin will endorse Perry, if she decides not to run herself.....That in itself is enough for HT to dismiss Perry...Here's a link to the Politico article on the book

The Jeffersonville Dog Shelter

The BatBlog has obtained exclusive photos of the recent controversy at J.P. Ogle dog shelter. In a attempt to show their love for dogs the mayor and director showed up at the shelter for a photo shoot for the Jeffersonville news letter. On a side note local political activist NSBHM also showed up at the center (undercover) to check out the conditions at the local dog shelter. These photos tentatively  set for next month's news letter ensued and have been obtained by the BatBlog.....Who said are officials don't care about dogs.....
