HT's Big Valentines Day Adventure ( A mostly true story)

5:37 A.M. HT sets alarm early to get up and fix Mrs. HT big Valentines Day breakfast. Mrs HT loves pancakes so HT stumbles down stairs, considers heart shaped pancakes but realizes that is beyond his culinary skills

6:10 A.M. Pancakes done, HT wakes Mrs.HT up, takes her down to big V-Day breakfast. Mrs  HT says Aww Thank You, but "who's gonna cl ean this big mess up"

7:30 A.M. HT goes out to truck gets Roses and V-Day card he has stashed away. HT smart he beats last minute rush at Florist and Card shop got presents yesterday. Mrs HT impressed but wonders how much HT paid for Roses you just eventually throw away. HT says "you're worth every dime HT paid"

7:45 A.M. HT has to leave tells Mrs HT have a great day and be ready when HT gets home HT take her out for fancy V-Day dinner

4:35 P.M. HT arrives home sees neighbor Tammy getting in mail he says "Happy Valentines Day Tammy"
Tammy looks sad, said she have no Valentine (her a single mom). She says "Mrs HT lucky to have man like HT." HT wishes he was 25 years younger 20 pounds lighter and single again, He'd be Tammy's Valentine.

4:36 P.M. HT comes back to reality

5:00 P.M. Mrs HT complains she has lousy day other than HT's big V-Day breakfast and flowers.HT say Don't worry We will have big romantic dinner, everything will be better.

6:00 P.M. We arrive at big fancy restaurant with a big long line. Mrs. HT says "I hope you got reservation"
HT never thought about reservation, he breaks bad news to Mrs HT, she sighs....

6:10 P.M. HT needs to change the mood, suggests they get drinks in bar. Mrs HT orders a coke. HT orders a big margarita (he thinks he might need several)

7:00 P. M. HT contemplates third big margarita when they say table is ready. HT relieved, Mrs HT getting impatient

7:10 P.M HT suggests bottle of fancy wine with dinner. HT needs to loosen Mrs HT up a little bit. Mrs HT declines says wine gives her a headache.

7:13 P.M. HT orders another big margarita.

7:35 P.M. Dinner arrives Mrs HT's steak not to her liking she sends it back but dinner all in all pretty good.

7:55 P.M HT suggests after dinner drink, Mrs.HT says OK she'll have a glass of wine HT orders another big margarita. Mrs HT only drinks half her glass of wine,

8:20 P.M Mrs. HT drives HT home.

10:30 P.M. Getting close to bedtime HT feels little frisky from the five margaritas and he hopes Mrs. HT feeling frisky too.

10:35 P.M. HT goes upstairs brushes teeth hoping Mrs. HT feeling frisky, goes in bedroom finds Mrs.HT's little dog Fluffy lying on HT's pillow. HT tells Fluffy get down . Fluffy growls and shows her teeth to HT. Mrs. HT tell HT to leave Fluffy alone she's cold. HT explains he is feeling romantic and Fluffy needs to move. Mrs .HT yawns and doesn't say a word.

10:40 P.M. HT goes for his secret weapon and last option he pulls out funny cigarette that his son in law gave him and lights up. Mrs. HT smells funny cigarette and says "What the hell you doing???" HT  asks if she would like to share funny cigarette. Mrs HT says put that out and go to sleep.

10:45 P.M. HT finishes his cigarette downstairs then heads back up to bedroom. HT gets his IPod out listens to Forever Young , Mrs. HT and Fluffy already asleep.

10:50 P.M. HT fall asleep and dreams of days gone by....

HT Interviewed on CNN - Offered job as Political Analyst- Mayor or CNN ??

HT's hard hitting political analysis on the local political stories has caught the attention of CNN. HT has been offered job to join Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, James Carville and the like, to analyze local races and politics. HT's two recent stories attracted viewers from all over the country which officials at CNN took notice of and offered HT a job. Only catch HT would have to withdraw from the big local Mayoral race. Equal time issues would come into play giving HT an even bigger advantage then he already has. HT has big decision to make Mayor or CNN analyst ???

Congressman Christopher Lee R- NY resigned this week after having been discovered soliciting dates on Craig's List. Congressman Lee sent shirtless photo's of himself to potential suitors and lied about E-Mails sent by him to a young women, claiming his E-mail account had been hacked. The married father of a young son was considered one of the rising stars of the GOP. Congratulations Rep. Lee for being the BatBlog's " Dullest Tool in the Shed of the Week" and Thanks for being an inspirational role model and representative of our Nation.

Mike Moore Republican - Brilliant Move or Mistake ??? - Primary 2011

   Well it's official today Mayoral Candidate -Mike Moore filed as a Republican rather than as a Democrat as had been expected. First reported last night by GAW  on Election 2011 Mr.Moore citing that he didn't feel comfortable as a Democrat and felt he wasn't embraced by the local Democrat leadership filed with the GOP.

  The question now is. Was this a brilliant political move or a big mistake by Mr. Moore ??    Ultimately  only time and the electorate of Jeffersonville will make that determination, but I see it as a shrewd move on Mr. Moore's part. While there will be some dyed in the wool Democrats who will cry foul and vote accordingly, the majority of voters in my opinion are a pretty smart group who will vote for the individual not the party.

  Mr. Moore  by filing as a Republican,  will avoid what could be a "Blood Bath" of a primary involving potentially  four viable well known Democrats Tom Galligan , Rob Waiz , Theresa Perkins, Kevin (Kevin in 11) Vissing (catchy slogan). Primaries with multiple candidates such as this will a lot of times elect candidates without a clear majority. Thus sometimes distorting the real pulse of the electorate. Mr. Moore will now avoid this Dem. primary and face most likely Galligan who HT and the Moore camp feels like he can defeat in a 2 man race, Mano to Mano

  Mr. Moore a conservative spender as a Co.Commissioner is probably more closer aligned with the GOP ideology of less government and spending anyway, so this is not a big swing in political ideals. Are there Pitfalls ?? Of course, as I mentioned earlier solid straight Dem. party voters will have a hard time with this switch. Others may question his loyalty to a party that elected him in the past. But with an influx of young, non-political, and annexed voters and considering the results of last years elections where the GOP made some great inroads against traditionally solid Dem. candidates, I applaud Mr. Moore's change of course. Democrats it's your move.

Normally they are braging and boastful ahead of time! The 'Hood's sources don't know except for two and they are really being careful. One of the sources on the inside with the Cartel and the Republicans won't say anything which is most unusal for him. The other will only give me veiled hints. The lid is on tight. Goliath is unable to discover the big event. WHAT CAN H-T AND THE AWARD WINNING BAT-BLOG FIND OUT? IS IT THE SLATE OF REPUBS? IS IT MM SWITCHING PARTIES? IS IT WAIZ DROPPING OUT AND SUPPORTING MM? HT weighs in on Primary 2011


HT who correctly predicted the Republican inroads made in last years election will today analyze May's Primary.

Dem. or Rep. ???

  Well the political posturing is in a frenzy as the deadline approaches for filing candidacy papers in the upcoming May primary. The big news (rumor) today as reported by GAW http://goliathandwimmens.blogspot.com/2011/01/why-do-i-say-not-honest-mike.html is that Mike Moore is considering jumping to the Republican ticket. HT considers this a very shrewd move on MM's part but it could also pose problem's down the road. Let's take a look at it.
      Mike Moore would like nothing better than a one on one race with Galligan. That's a slam dunk for MM,the annexation voters,  Moore's popularity as Co. Comm.and as a politician, he would defeat TG easily in a 2man race and TG knows this. Enter several other declared and possible entries into the Primary. Rob Waiz, , Kevin Vissing, Thersea Perkins all of a sudden you have a crowded 5 person primary TG's chances go way up.

Incumbent

  First of all the anti- Galligan vote get's split by a factor of  four, Galligan will hold his loyal base and all of a sudden we have a horse race. Was there political posturing, promises , arm twisting to get this crowded race set up for Galligan ???  Good question, you could never prove it but this is politics and Clark Co., What do you think ???

Don't get me wrong Perkins and Waiz are viable attractive candidates in there own right. Vissing, as my friend "The Hood Hunts in a Pack"  likes to say has a nice slogan. Perkins could be hurt by her association to John but would be strong with the female vote and a strong candidate in her own right. Waiz has strong connections has his own base of voters and is a polished politician. Kevin Vissing well again he has a catchy slogan..   "Kevin in 11"

The political poker game will continue right up until the filing deadline. MM has a strong hand but probably won't play it until he knows who is in the game. If Perkins files crowding the race, look for MM to seriously consider jumping to the GOP. This could alienate some voters, but a risk that may be worth taking to get the one on one race he desires. Young Matt Owen a novelty, that you have to like, honestly is non factor but watch him in 2036. And K.V. "nice slogan"
