Just curious..... on the Jeffersonville City website CLICK HERE listing ordinances, number 6 for 2016 has for some reason either been omitted, forgotten about or Moe Zastawny numbered them...
Remember Moe's 10 point plan for Jeffersonville CLICK HERE when he numbered them 0-1-2-3-4-5-7-8-9-10 (no number 6 either)
Anyway anybody know what happened to or where did ordinance # 6 go ???
I think #6 was the one where they were supposed to eliminate insurance for Council members but they all decided to just ignore it!! The good ole "cease and desist" -- and "don't mess with my benefits" -- "I don't want $15,000 a year -- I deserve $35,000 a year".!!
H-T: Yes, Ordinance #6... was last seen just before it was kidnapped and was on the way to...Area 51....near Roswell, New Mexico.... They needed a new bureau to receive the fines from ordinance violations paid by Intergalactic Alien offenders...

At the Council meeting on Jan. 25th, Les Merkley presented Ordinance #6 -- An Ordinance creating an ordinance violation bureau". It was passed on first reading. Les said that the police and animal control have no way to prosecute ordinance violations since the City court was abolished. Apparently the City is losing a lot of money by not collecting the fines associated with these violations. He wanted to set up a violations bureau that would collect many of these fees --- could be substantial according to Vicki Conlin. Debate about whether they would have to hire another person to do this an if the cost would exceed the revenue.
You would think that the geniuses on the council might have thought about this before doing the political hatchet job on Judge Pierce and the Jeff City court.
Now they might have to cough up money to collect monies, when there was already in place a system (city Court) to do this. Sheer brilliance !!!
This will make a great blog post !!! Something like cutting off your nose to spite your face !!!
Looks like Owen has put on a few pounds.
