interesting how that swarm of bees landed up at that Ali Center over the weekend. and this i just read this... http://www.northjersey.com/sports/boxing/goodbye-to-the-greatest-1.1610774
At one point Ali was reviled by much of the public for his refusal to serve in the military. The unpopularity of Viet Nam and the healing hands of time healed a lot of wounds. Ali also seemed to be a great humanitarian so his accolades are deserved...
Ali was definitely one of the greatest uf not the greatest fighters. I was not a fan of his simply because of the way he treated Joe Frazier. When Ali was banned from boxing and down on his luck Frazier gave him money and lobbied for Ali to be reinstated so he could box again Once Ali was reinstated how did he thank Frazier he called him an Uncle Tom and a white man's champion. Disgraceful and if you ask me tell's a whole lot about his true character. Not trying to kick a just deceased man no one deserves to suffer for as long as Ali did.
