If you were to ask the citizens and taxpayers of Jeffersonville their priorities on how tax dollars SHOULD be spent. I guarantee that spending over 3 mil for parking at the new soccer facility would probably be dead last on the list if it even made the list at all.
This is the same council that just recently decided to abolish Jeffersonville City Court citing costs and not enough revenue being produced. How much revenue do you think an empty parking lot will produce ??? What Hypocrisy !!!
Don't get me wrong soccer is a growing sport and facilities for youth activities are nice amenities for a community and should be supported. The problem is the percentage of families in our community availing themselves or getting use of the soccer facility is pretty low, and certainly makes this allotment of tax funds even more absurd. Hell even the roads leading to this empty parking lot are terribly over crowded and poorly maintained.

Not that it will make a difference but I urge everyone that lives in Jeff to inform their individual council person what a waste and poor decision this is. The thing is these City council position don't pay much and you usually get what you pay for....people who have no idea what they are doing. It is an election year and I would say clean house but that is hard to do. People really don't pay much attention to these positions and name recognition get you elected and elected again. That's why we have some of the same idiots that are firmly entrenched in their positions....unfortunately for us taxpayers...You also wonder with these kind of decisions by a council headed by Dennis Julius mayoral candidate...Why in the hell would you want him as a mayor....
Is this the same council that approves the claim for Walnut Ridge applying salt around quartermaster court and the Blessed City Hall this afternoon. Hell, they were applying more salt that we will probably get in snow. I recall a moron and hypocrite of epic proportions (Hutt if I need to say it out loud for ya) squalling like a hyena when WR was doing this before.
