Toxic John...Getting in One Last Jab and Laugh ...and Loving It

Ole "Toxic" John Perkins just won't go away quietly. In possibly one last stand, Perkins is dueling with the Clark Co.election board, and has a lot of people in an uproar over his residency status in his attempt to run for Jeffersonville City council. The BatBlog believes and past history bears this out that ole John loves every minute of the attention and controversy attached to his latest ploy. He loves being the fly in the ointment, controversial and a publicity hound and has been a thorn in the side of a lot of people over the years. That's just who he is.

The thing about John love him or hate him and most people hate him , he's with out a doubt the most well versed, informed, knowledgeable and educated politician on local government , that this county has ever known. Unfortunately his personality assets don't match his  knowledge, and voters have for the most part shunned him in droves here recently.

He did have early success winning a seat and serving several terms as a City councilman and he nearly won a Jeffersonville mayoral race. He has been a delegate to democratic conventions and he obviously loves the political process and scene. While his condescending attitude to the rank and file voter has lead to his unpopularity and demise as a vote getter , you have to believe John's laughing and enjoying every minute of the controversy going on now.

The BatBlog believes if you really want to hurt John ignore him and  just let him run and beat him at the polls. We don't think there's an election he can win anyway....and by pushing the issue of his residency you're just feeding his enormous ego and garnering the attention he begs for....until down the road and the next race he wants  to run for....Ignore him and he might go away....

  1. With a name like "Perkins" he just might steal the election...

  2. Yes, he's probably loving the attention, but I understand why the challenger did it, and I imagine with rare exception, the other residents of District 1 support the challenge. It's offensive to us to be used. The asshole is not our neighbor, and he does not, can not, represent us.

  3. Yeah I agree the challenger has the right...just saying its probably a moot point as the residents are mostly aware of the situation and will vote accordingly ...

And I guess some satisfaction could be attained by legal bills being accrued by Mr. Perkins ...but Perkins is oblivious to embarrassment ...hopefully the election board's decision will end this...
