Economic and Retail Growth and Development Spurs Moore Reelection Bid

Love him or hate him the recent and continuous economic and retail growth and development here in Jeffersonville is spurring forward incumbent (R) Mike Moore's reelection bid. Whether this growth is from an improving economy and luck, or the work of the  Mayor and his Redevelopment Dept. is open to debate, but whatever the circumstances and reasons, things are booming all around the City.

Two recent stories CLICK HERE and HERE

Jobs are plentiful, housing prices are up, more and more east end development is occurring, Veterans Pkwy  soon will be fully developed...downtown Jeff is booming and the face lift of the riverfront east of the Riverstage is coming together with new docks , landscaping  and fishing pier.

All the Gloomy Gusses like NHBSM and the leftover Galligan cry babies try as the might to spin negativity about Moore's 1st term can't deny there has been progress just about everywhere in the City. The casual observer and voter will most likely be impressed enough with all the new bells and whistles around town to give Moore another term as mayor.

You  have bitter want to be's like Not Honest Mike and the Galligan bunch trying to bad mouth Moore ,  but action and progress go a lot farther than bitterness and resentment. Moore who has defonitely benefited by the timing of the "bridges project" which has spurred unparalleled growth in River Ridge, and the surrounding area is now busting at the seams with growth as well.

Call it whatever... , good timing, luck, hard work, leadership and management, or whatever Mike Moore has earned and deserves another 4 years as mayor...

  2. Agree HTP. If a method can be found to dispel rampant lies his chances improve. I can go to Rotary meetings, Business and Professional Women meetings as a candidate and revise my actions as a council member as I see fit. Nobody will argue with what's said and there's not a person in attendance to refute it. How do you tackle that?

  3. Obama says all the same things you say about Moore, and we know how pitiful Obama is.
Moore is a narsasis. He has never had to be anyone's equal. His parents, and brother are the only one above him. It will be interesting to see what he will do once he is no longer mayor. I've never seen him hanging out having a beer, in Jeffersonville. Never see him spending money in his city. A loner?

    The Mayor's dedicated efforts
to assist are definitely a big plus for Jeffersonville
and Clark County. The administration is leading
    the way with vital economic
    development efforts.

Mayor Moore is providing impressive guidance
and creating a great atmosphere to promote economic activity
and increased prosperity for the citizens

  7. Narcissism, involves cockiness, manipulation, selfishness, power motives. Hell that fits Moore to a tee!

No "we" don't.... actually Obama has been pretty effective, employment and the stock market up, gas prices down....two wars concluded, health care program ....and he got Bin Laden.
Compared to his predecessor Obama's presidency has been a success, just as Moore's first term was a much bigger success than Galligan's 3 terms....

  9. Name me any of Moore's projects that led to this so we can give him proper credit.

    I'll be waiting a while.

  10. Anon,

I fully aware of what a Narcissist is. I was asking what a "Narsasis" is. That word, if it is one, was used in an earlier post.

  11. Moore has completed Allison park, will have the river front done with boat docks, that will go largely unused. Big 4 park, which was started under Galligan, ( purchasing properties etc.) Duffy expansion should be finished by years end. Pipe from market to 10th.
Unfortunately not much tax base added. Just parks.

  12. Does he get credit for the roundabouts?

  13. When he ran for election, he claimed he would lower sewer rates, and our taxes. Didn't happen! When questioned about it by Galligan, he denied he said it. Galligan said...... Mike..... it's in print!

  14. No. Credit for the rounds goes to the Fed and INDOT. The rounds are working well if you can discount meth head idiots and general idiots. Yield is not recognized, in definition, by the 6 am meth drivers and cell phone heads. They will run you into a wall ,or another vehicle, by being zombie numb on drugs or just so fucking stupid. It's true.

  15. Jeff really has never looked better, whether or not Moore gets the credit or not, he's the one in office. Hopefully his re-election will get rid of all the 55-70 year old "Democrats" who consider Jeff politics their own personal playpen and are offended by anyone who crashes the party.
