Time for Change...

It's time for local voters to put Indiana state senator Ron "Wishy Washy" Grooms (R) into retirement. Local attorney Anna Murray (D) announced today she would seek the 46th Dist. senate seat currently held by "Wishy Washy." Grooms a nice man who has had a good run ...first on the Jeffersonville city council and currently is in his second term as state senator.

Wishy Washy has never met a tax he didn't like including the current increase in gasoline taxes and he has voted against increases in minimum wages and restrictions on construction labor wages. The BatBlog has always felt "Wishy Washy" just pretty much goes along with his fellow GOP comrades in the senate and ignoring what's  best for his constituents he is supposedly representing.

Local commuters and taxpayers have been hammered twice here recently with bridge tolls and gasoline tax hikes. Enough is enough... Ron Grooms doesn't represent what is best for local residents and is easily manipulated to go along with his crowd of Rep. lawmakers...It's nice to see a fresh , new young face like Ms. Murray willing to take on the GOP and their domination in the state house. It's time for fresh ideas and someone to stand up for the people...It's time to put Ron "Wishy Washy " Grooms out to pasture...

    Sorry,
    only two local Democrats
have a reasonable chance of election
    in Clark County in 2018:
    Stemler and Blankenbeker may survive......

    State Senator Ron Grooms
has a long history of excellent service
to Jeffersonville and Clark County. The national,
state, and local elections are a huge R sweep in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

The Clark County D's are "grasping at straws"....

    1. I agree Tom "Bulldozer" Galligan has jumped the Titanic (Dem. party) just before it sinks...and a near sweep looks imminent in the immediate future. Ms. Murray is a real longshot but we need to drain the local swamp of these old career politicians especially wishy washy ones like Ron Grooms...

Drain the swamp !!! Drain the swamp !!!

    Former Clark County Democrat Chairman
and former Jeffersonville Mayor Tom Galligan
has always crossed the aisle and supported Jeffersonville's Ron Grooms.
    For good reasons.

    Senator Grooms
    has served Jeffersonville
as a city councilperson and State Senator very well.
Mr. Grooms was elected to the Jeffersonville City Council
when the election of local R's was very rare.
It shows his long term support
    and excellence of service.

    The "New, Rookie, Ideologically Obsessed"
    Clark County 'D Regime'
has a LOT of knowledge to work to attain....
and a HUGE mountain to climb to win anything.....
They have a steep hill to climb.....

    Many local D's
    have supported Ron Grooms
and will continue to do so.
He is an excellent office holder.

    It is 'niii-ce'
    that the D's are filling
their slate, but "Reality Winner" still lurks ....

Dale Popp, Joe Weber, and Barbara Hollis
are also in good shape locally, but the R sweep could get them.
Susan Popp is doing a great job, but her race will be highly contested.

    1. Never said Grooms would lose...Murray has a difficult task, newcomer against a seasoned veteran with high name recognition and Grooms is a nice man with no political enemies. You have to consider him a big favorite the way the GOP has dominated lately...

If you want more and higher taxes, no help to the middle class workers ,Vote for Ron "Wishy Washy" Grooms no sweat off my ass...

  6. The Bat Blog has been very well informed from day one....
    The predictions have been uncanny.

    The sore spots
are those dern wars with Goliath
and the GAW News Bureau that have been lost....

Goliath, the proverbial 'Grouchy Old White Codger'
(a 3,000 years old one at that) took on "Two Ocean Wars"
with the Bat Blog and the terminal
    Clark County Chatter and WON.....

Goliath, however, at the time does not
seem to be a factor in Clark County politics
as he seems to be concentrating on how to solve
the collapse of the beloved "Liberal Paradise in Venezuela".....!

    2018 Clark County Pol Wars
    and

A look at the past as preview:

    A TWO FRONT WAR
    By goliath

Now I see what has been going on. While Goliath out laboring in the fields of woe…helping the young husband what run afoul of the King’s men racing about in a chariot after too many flagons of wine or yanking the chesty young blades that got all hepped up and stole some swag but not have the brain power to out think the local constable, Or maybe going over to a ne’er do well pater familias and knock sense into him so he pays shekels and chickens to the mother of his baby mama babies…. While Goliath doing many and many of

these here good deeds, Cindyloonyhoos and Batbrains HT are colluding and conspiring to damage the reputation and mighty hand of Goliath.
Does they not recall the ugly lessons of the past? This short lifer’s got so caught up in the passions and causes of the day they aint’ got the perspective to look at the good old LONG VIEW.

First, let us all agree that HT’s Batblog is a poor shade and imitation of the original “Goliathandwimmens”blogspot.

  9. Grooms wins 15% hands down.

But Sen. Smith will have his hands full to even make it to the General election it appears.

Smith is nowhere to be seen while Garten has been popping up all over the place. Most recently at Clark Co 4H

  10. Unfortunately politics and elections on the local level are mostly about name recognition and not issues. Grooms no doubt has a big advantage against a political newcomer, if voters paid attention to the issues and what Grooms HASN'T done for the rank in file voters we would see him in retirement...

  11. Breaking News!
    The Bat Blog Gets Stronger!

H-T's topic title of: "Time for Change: is ready to go to the next level!"
is very interesting as the change from D to R accelerates in Clark County
    and in the DC Swamp.

We all remember the illegally laundered money from foreign sources
received by AlGore ( The Monks' sequentially numbered money orders),
and the Clinton Crime Foundation's $134,000,000 Russian money from "Uranium 1".

    Now, some new info
    found by the nifty,
    award winning Bat Blog, shows:
    "Appendix A
The following members of Congress with active donate pages do not require a Card Verification Value (CVV) on their official websites, leaving them susceptible to illegal foreign donations."

    On the list:
    INDIANA
    Carson, Andre (D)
    Donnelly, Joe (D)
    Visclosky, Pete (D)

“The number of Democrats in Congress not requiring CVV has increased by 43 percent since the 2012 elections, from 148 to 211,” says the study, titled: “America the Vulnerable!"
    http://g-a-i.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Campaign-Finance-Report-Final-.pdf

    Donnelly was already very vulnerable.

  12. Good luck to any Democrat running in Clark County.

The local party has been corrupt for years.
Now the national party has also been proven corrupt.
And the national party is also broke, no support there.

Probably better to run as one of those crazy libertarians...

Politicians have too much control over money that isn't theirs....
