In other words McConnell and gang are thumbing their noses at the average voter and telling them they aren't smart enough to select a candidate to represent them in November. If these elitist snob Rep.leaders somehow are able to wrest the nomination away from Trump with a brokered convention they will split the party right down the middle and alienate voters everywhere.
Trump supporters see him as an anti establishment, anti politics as usual, and an alternative to the status quo. While the BatBlog doesn't support The Donald we do support the right for his supporters and the Rep. rank and file voters to elect their own candidate without the manipulation of party leaders in their smoke filled backrooms.
It is still early in the campaign but the next big boom we hear might be the implosion of the Republican party.
Bat Blog Really Fun 2016 Election
ReplyDeleteReady to Rumble:
A Ruckus ! and A Tizzy !
The conventions
and the national elections,
both from the D side and the R side,
over the last few decades have become
really bland , boring , BLOODLESS events.
In the 'Really Good Old Days'
the conventions were run by the
insider party power broker delegates
and each state had some very spirited horse trading
and deal making occurring. Even Governors and Congresscritter candidates
were selected by state level conventions. The general public had little input
with the candidate selection process or the party platforms,
but the process was at least highly engaging.....
The conventions were not for the squimish....
The Evolution of Involvement
Now,
the selection process
is evolving through two additional stages.
Instead of the old time invisible closed
"Smoky Back Room Boys" or a boring, bland,
colorless, and really dull Mass Media Control over
"Pre-Determined candidates", the selection of the nominees
is done so everyone can watch over a long, state by state, drawn out,
very detailed process.
Some watchers faint
at this really new, great
"Extended Super Transparency",
but is an excellent, open, and
exceptionally dynamic process!
Enjoy it!
The Republican Party
is the midst of a new and highly
energized resurgence process and is the best that
it has been since 1984. Millions more of grass roots
individuals are involved in the way fun ruckus.
This is a very interesting, enthusiastic,
and hugely INCLUSIVE process.
The larger that life candidates
that have emerged from the dullness
of the past are creating a lot of energy!
The 'Bombastic Boastful Donald', 'The Little Marco',
and 'The Lyin' Ted' really add a nice DIMENSION of real life people to the mix!
The feisty, 74 year old
full blown socialist codger has them "Feeling The Bern"
That really has Establishment's HRC's "granny panties in a twist"!
'The Bern' is doing the same colorful act in the D primary
delegate selection process.
The old "Control Freaks Insider Backroom Types"
within the Drive-By Media, the R Party, and the D Party
are all worked up into a tizzy!
Students
of the political process
and long time observers through
the experienced eyes of knowledgeable sociologists
and political scientists have explained that this election
as GREATLY exceeding expectations
It is is fantastic so far!
Look for tremendous, energized turnouts
in the General Election and for the egotistic powerful
"Beltway Wine and Cheese Set"
to loose significant control of their
ability to continue to
destroy America.
It is good to see
the New Media Nifty Bat Blog
be a fun part of this revolution.
Agree FPHD this has been as entertaining as any in recent memory mainly because of The Donald.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing party heads like Mc Connell, Romney, squirm in their seats over a Trump victory.
They can't stand Cruz either but their glamour boy Rubio is despised by the electorate who do the voting.... Stay tuned we've only seen the first ring of this three ring circus...
Here's the take away the establishment needs to grasp... They only have a small minority of votes that are party hardliners. They depend on being able to sway the masses to and fro, usually with fear. And now someone has bested their game
ReplyDeleteTrump claims to be bringing in support from people who have never voted before. He truly is non-establishment GOP... maybe that wins this election.
ReplyDeleteIt IS entertaining! Going 'round and 'round as our country circles the drain! WHEE!!!!

Yes, Tina, as always has nailed it!!!
"The Donald"
has totally tapped into
the disgust and fear the average American is feeling
with the terrible government policies of the "Beltway Overlords".
( A.K. A. 'The Drive-By Big Media' and the D and R rulers.)
The surging interest and the huge election turnouts
are reflecting the coming change!
"Make America Great Again!"
Go on youtube. com
and watch and listen to Mr. Trump's speeches.
They are very detailed and informative. The substance
of his economic plans is impressive. Plus they
are a lot of fun! "Hope and Change" that the people can believe in!
Donald Trump...Don Trump...Don T...Don't

ReplyDeleteIt's said sometimes too much credit is given to the average voters intelligence...Not always true of course.
But the "Trumpeteer's" are perfect poster children of when that sentiment is spot-on...X's 100.
I don't believe the man believes half the ugly BS he's spouting...Or maybe he does, I don't know...Regardless he's spouting it anyway ( which shows what an opportunist he is ) with the real concern being that his supporters believe it, support it, and are eating it up...He's encouraging it...And that's sad and dangerous.
"Detailed...Informative...Impressive"...And let's add articulate too.
ReplyDeleteWell we all know the Trumpet's have set the bar high. :)
I honestly feel bad for my thoughtful sane Republican friends and family.
Trump will never be able to do the things he says he can or unite the party. There is a bloc of voters who are so fed up with the status quo and bible thumping neo conservatives who get nothing done in Congress except demonize Democrats they will turn to a so called non-politician like Trump.
ReplyDeleteTrump tells them what they want to hear in a way they want to hear it (screaming and yelling). His main contenders Cruz (hated by senators in both parties) and Rubio (phony that the voters see right through him) don't offer much of an alternative. Kasich is sensible but too bland and isn't right wing enough for party leaders.
I actually hope Trump gets the nomination then the GOP will have to deal with Hillary for the next 8 years...

Would you like a delicious, nutritious Big Mac with that? Americans gobble those up too!
ReplyDeleteThe Donald rolled to 3 more wins last night...McConnell and the establishment Rep.s are shaking in their boots as Rubio circles the political drain...
