Comey actually seemed like one of the good guys, working for both Dem. and Rep. presidents, Bush and Obama and respected on both sides of the aisle as a non-political ,intelligent, well spoken guy who just did his job.
So what gives ??? Was Comey fired because of his investigation of the Trump/Putin bromance ??? Was he getting close to the truth ??? Time will tell but it seems kind of convenient to fire the guy in charge of investigating your campaign's connections to Russia...Some say Comey actually was instrumental in getting Trump elected...Comey's remarks condemning Hillary Clinton's handling of the controversial e-mail investigation was praised by Trump himself at times, when they were to his benefit.
Reportedly Jeff (Forrest Gump) Sessions recommended that Comey be fired even though Gump was supposed to recluse himself from the Russo /Trump investigation...
So what's next ??? Time will tell...Drip, Drip , Drip....

ReplyDeleteDeputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein stated that that "over the past year ... the FBI's reputation and credibility have suffered substantial damage, and it has affected the entire Department of Justice.
He completely screwed up in handling the Clinton Email scandal. Many Democrats believe that his announcement that he was reopening the probe 11 days before the election cost the former secretary of state the presidency.
He broke with Tradition when making public appearances and making a "Closing Statement" about the Clinton Email investigation. That had never been done before.
I think think Progress.com stated that it best. Comey was an egregiously incompetent FBI Director

Looks like now Rosenstein was told by Trump to draw up something on Comey and Rosenstein is none to happy about being thrown under the bus and threatened to quit for being painted as Trump's stooge.

That's why we have such poor legislation being forced upon the public like the recently passed disaster of Trumpcare, which may eventually replace the equally disastrous Obamacare...

Hillary Clinton was wrongly accused of a crime. Her emails never contained a drop of classified information, ever. That type of correspondence does not go by email... secure pouch only. That didn't stop the GOP from accusing her. But hell, that's all ancient history now. What Trump has done firing Comey is OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE per his own admission in the Lester Holt interview. The GOP in Congress has a choice to make now... go down in flames with the Orange ball of fire, or get some balls and impeach his royal ass. Trump/Russia collusion will come out eventually. The FBI rank and file respected Comey and Trump misread that, like he misreads everything. They will take him out, wait and see. Rumor has it there are 27 sealed indictments coming.

Former FBI official says promotion of McCabe to interim director is ‘disgraceful’
ReplyDeleteFormer top FBI official James Kallstrom said on Sunday that it’s “disgraceful” that Andrew McCabe is the acting director of the agency despite his wife’s cozy relationship to Hillary Clinton operatives.
“It’s actually disgraceful,” Kallstrom, the former assistant director of the FBI, told John Catsimatidis on his “Cats Roundtable” radio program. “Here’s a guy who’s still in the chain of command.”
McCabe, who took over as acting FBI director when President Trump fired James Comey last week, is married to Jill McCabe who took $467,500 from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s political action committee during her run for state senate.
She also received $207,788 from the Virginia Democratic Party, which is heavily influenced by Clinton loyalist McAuliffe.
The funds began flowing to Jill McCabe two months after the FBI launched its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server in July 2015.
