This isn't the first time the media has over hyped an event and won't be the last with school's closing , people traveling to remote locations and, employees taking off work for the amazing spectacle <sarcasm added>.... Granted scientifically this was a significant,rare event but the next time the media starts plugging the next eclipse I think I will sit it out...

ReplyDeletethere's no other place to be than the tiny area of total eclipse. seeing the stars for a brief moment is worth it. but you can't know that until you experience it for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI agree with snowman. Went to TN and the total eclipse was something to remember. At least where I was, as it started to get darker, it was different looking than when night arrives or an overcast day. The evening bugs increased their activities and bats came out. The sun/moon was beautiful. I can see where people in Southern IN and Louisville would be disappointed, but there is no comparison between total and 95% coverage.
