The BatBlog won't comment on the situation involving Clark Co. school board member and former Jeff mayoral candidate Teresa Perkins, other than to say , if ANY of the allegations are true she must resign. We will let due process and the court system play out and hopefully Ms. Perkins will provide a full explanation of the events and charges she is charged with. In the BatBlog's opinion there is no way she can continue on the school board with any degree of respect or credibility if she is guilty of the charges facing her....She knows the degree of culpability and should resign immediately unless some huge mistake has been made by law enforcement. Ms Perkins you owe the people who elected you an explanation , apology, and resignation if the charges are warranted....

Sad Situation

ReplyDeleteThis is very sad and disappointing. Even more disturbing is that if the charges are true, it is unlikely to be a first time offense. One could hope that this is a horrible incident of mistaken identity, but that does not seem likely. That she should resign from the school board immediately is a given. She will lose even more respect and will lose the chance to ever redeem herself publicly if she resists resignation.
ReplyDeleteAgreed totally. Most people who shoplift get caught about 1 out of every 10 times they steal. Can't fathom this is part of a middle aged crisis.

On the same behalf if she is guilty (and she knows) she needs to resign now ...her credibility with the public is gone regardless and I must admit I was fooled, I voted for her in mayoral Dem. primary and would have voted for her in main election had she won...
just goes to show you really never know....
Wonder why GAW news and Goliath are quiet on this? He is the first to fire out at Republicans if they mess up. Wasn't he a big supporter and friend of hers? Sometimes silence is deafening.
