Updates on Earlier Stories...Perkins, Rodden and MAC

Noticed that school board member Teresa Perkins  pleaded not guilty to the charges against her in Tennessee and her court date will be in November. While Ms. Perkins is entitled to her day in court she should have taken a leave of absence from her duties on the GCC school board until things are settled one way or another. It is embarrassing and  poor judgement on Ms. Perkins part to act like nothing's happened. By reports there appears to be substantial video evidence of Ms. Perkin's guilt and neither her or her attorney has stated the charges are not true or their intention of fighting such charges. The BatBlog's guess is a plea bargain is in the works, and if Perkins does plead guilty to lesser charges she has even further tainted her reputation and character by not resigning immediately after her arrest....

Look for another plea agreement in the Danny Rodden case. Once again neither Rodden or his attorney has made any indication of the falseness of the charges or indication of fighting the charges. His attorney stated Rodden was "disappointed with himself" which sounds like a guilty man to the BatBlog.

While both parties in the above cases are entitled to a plea bargain in their respective cases, the BatBlog feels some sort of punishment is deserved in both cases. It will send a bad message and further build resentment and distrust of the political and judicial system if they both get only probation in their cases. Public humiliation and the ruination of there name and legacy isn't enough. If you do the crime , you pay the time...

While the BatBlog wishes Pat Barrow and the homeowners Good Luck with their lawsuit against MAC construction and the asphalt plant. Don't expect much help from  Judge Jerry Jacobi the BatBlog feels he'll never rule against the City of Jeffersonville who is a co-defendant with MAC ...too many political connections and politics involved. If ever a case needed a change of venue and a jury trial , this one does...

  1. I would guess that both cases, Rodden and Perkins would be plead down as well.

  4. An investigative reporter needs to follow the court house good old boys in the dodge pickup truck. They are working undercover as being actual employees.

  5. Everyone at the courthouse knows the good ol boys in the Dodge truck get paid to do nothing. And everyone does exactly nothing about it either. Hopefully their boss will lose his reelection bid so someone else can come in and clean house.
