Gill as council president has shown very little leadership qualities in leading this current council away from poor decisions (eliminating Jeff City court, 1 million spent on soccer field) and has been obstructive in supporting Mayor Moore's projects. On the other hand Gill reportedly is good at listening to her constituents concerns.
Fetz in our opinion doesn't have the temperament or ability to be an effective councilman which he exhibited in his tenure on the council earlier. Easy to anger and his personal dislike of mayor Moore make him a poor choice for District 5 voters. Fetz has in the past published childish rants about the current mayor over the internet, including jabs at the mayor's personal life. Fetz's answer to his council's nearly trebling sewer rates was to tell citizens to install new toilet flappers in their toilets... so you can see what we are dealing with...Even with Gill's shortcomings she will most likely win, even though she is supported by NHBSM (Not Honest But Stupid Mike) Gill is the best choice in a poor field....
The mayor should have treated Lisa as the ally she tried to be at the outset. Any problems in that relationship are on him.
ReplyDeleteDemands he communciate better with those who were clearly against him from the start are retarded, but in Lisa's case, he screwed himself. She wanted to support him. He dismissed everything she had to say.
I agree to a point Anon. but regardless of her and the mayors relationship she failed on leadership on some of the stupid decisions this council made . She had an opportunity to stand out unfortunately she didn't make the most of those opportunities....
ReplyDeleteI don't know Mr. Fetz, but Lisa Gill is a very good councilperson for her constituents and others in the city. I'd vote for her if she was my representative.
ReplyDeleteI too would vote for Ms. Gill if she were in my district. I've heard as well she is very good listening and representing her constituents. I'm just disappointed in some of the decisions this past council has made and I expected more from her...

Two moved up, some did not
run, some incumbents may

The council has had problems all during the entire term.

I would think HT would celebrate a politician that was at least
authentic enough to 'tell it like it is' regardless of how it
might cost him with 'his constituency'.
As for crapper flapper...It is funny if you are in touch with the
fifth grader inside you (as I am) but, at the same time it actually
is a concrete measure that can help with a person's sewer bill which
was going up. But we can laugh because 'its about a potty'. (ha ha ha)
Meanwhile, His opponent is the sheriff's sister, her party chairman's
sister and what else? Dunno. She shut down the Jeff city court and
she has been right in there with all the stupid obstructionist things
on the council...she's been go along to get along.
I'll take a truth teller and a hothead who gives a damn. Vote for
Fetz if that's what you want.

I now get it! Mr. Fetz is changing a toilet guts
that are sticking, so that it won't waste water!
He is trying to conserve water and lower sewer bills.

ReplyDeleteInaccurate means you tried but missed the plate on the outside corner. Your attempt was honest, but missed. Pitching lies about your vote, or pitching lies about a grant you denied as a councilman, is very different.
