The Jeffersonville Mayors Race ...Lies. Lies and More Lies and a Few Honest Points and Rules

Let's be honest which is hard to do when talking about Jeffersonville politics especially the current mayoral race between incumbent Mike Moore (R) and Dennis Julius (D). First a few honest points

1.) Probably about 85%  of Jeffersonville residents could give a rat's ass who the mayor is

2.) You CAN"T believe ANYTHING local  village idiot NHBSM says about current mayor Mike Moore. Not Honest has blown smoke up the asses up every mayoral candidate since probably the beginning of the century in order to presumably get a political appointment. After being dumped or looked over for a political position Not Honest turns on the candidate that he blew the smoke up their ass quicker than you can dump an ugly blind date...which brings us to Rule 1 in Jeff politics...

Rule 1,  which a lot of people have discovered ....Don't believe a word coming from NHBSM's mouth. You really have to wonder about this dude....seriously

The third honest point is 3.) ALL Politicians take credit for everything good that happens during their term. Whether they planned it, initiated it, finished it or had nothing to do with it, if it happened during their term in office , they take credit for it....Since the first politician Adam ,this has been the case and if something bad happens, blame some one else like Eve...which brings us to Rule 2.

Rule 2. Don't pay ANY attention to any claims about who has done what or who was responsible for this or that...It's all a smoke and mirrors game by politicians and they ALL play it...

Lies, Lies, Lies

The lies and claims of opponent lying are flying fast and furious this year. The BIG LIE and probably  the only provable lie is coming from Dem. candidate Dennis Julius. Julius claims he didn't vote FOR his own firm (Walnut Ridge) being awarded a million dollar contract to do the controversial landscaping of the 10th St. medians. Julius says he abstained...the public record (Minutes from the meeting ) says different ....the vote was unanimous. Unanimous means unanimous, no abstentions were noted and the minutes were verified by those attending  which is procedure...Excuses have been made , affidavits written which doesn't mean a hill of beans...the only record and it is the official record will state FOREVER the vote was UNANIMOUS by all those members  attending....Julius LIED ....

The main lies Moore is accused of ...The city council hasn't provided enough police and firemen per the annexation agreement , is much harder to pin down or prove one way or another. As is Moore's claim that sewer funds went toward the original canal plans...

The annexation which neither candidate was part of was real cluster f _ _ _ from day one and full of lies all the way through. There are so many differing numbers, excuses and lies surrounding it I don't know how anyone can separate fact from fiction.

Same way with sewer funds, money has been manipulated and always will be by government.... to say for fact that money from sewer funds was or wasn't spent for Galligan's Gully is unprovable one way or another....

Rule 3. A lot of claims and counter claims will be made, sort them out carefully a lot of them are pure bullshit some have merit ....decide accordingly...

Voters will make their choices for a lot of different reasons come Election day. By party, for personal reasons, name recognition etc. Rule 4 probably isn't always the main factor ...but should be

Rule 4. Make an educated vote on leadership ability and best qualifications for the job but do your part and be sure to VOTE !!!

  1. My wife and I will be voting for Julius! It will be nice to have a mayor that works with council and not against it.

  3. Bill I guess my wife and I will cancel yours out as we will be voting for Moore. The progress recently and the shown leadership qualities that Julius doesn't possess make for an easy decision plus Julius has proven he is liar not to be trusted....

  4. Hurt and Julius make a good pair. Wonder if they lie back and forth to each other while eating breakfast together?

  5. Julius is the best of the two. Vote!

    VOTE JULIUS!

  7. Anon. I assume you mean Hutt instead of Hurt...surely Julius is smarter than to be seen eating breakfast with NH (Not Honest)....

  8. Weather or not Dennis voted on the median project is not a concern. Just by accepting the job he broke the law. Now he acts like he has done nothing wrong. Do we really want to take Jeff back to the days when crooks were in charge.
The decision is a simple one, 4 Moore years.....

  9. That wasn't too long ago .... "when crooks were in charge'...

  10. So, it's ok for Moore to vote for Estopenol for contracts when Wayne is his treasurer of his campaign. Shouldn't Moore abstain?
Isn't it blatant that Wayne would be his treasurer in the first place?
How about his fire chief having the contract for cleanup on Falls Landing? His police chief security?

  11. Is Moore personally profiting from any of the above?
    (no)

    Dennis did......

  12. Walnut Ridge has soaked the city of Jeffersonville and made the brothers Julius a ton of money thanks to their friend TG. Try buying something at WR it's the highest game in town and I am pretty sure the city got soaked a premium price for anything and every service they provided. Providing services and jobs to friends has been going on forever, but to personally vote for and receive a nearly million dollar contract while sitting on a board is as someone said, a crime.

  13. The maturity level in the mayor's office right now is on par with Romper Room. This would include the ( too ) young council members the mayor would like to see elected or remain on the council. I can only assume this is because they can be more easily managed.

Couple that with the decision to align himself and be advised by one of the most lackluster administrator's Jeffersonville has known to date, Waiz. Then add his brother into the mix, who may have made good real estate investments but doesn't know squat about running a city, and the decision makes itself.

Dennis Julius is much better prepared to lead the city both vision-wise and fiscally. But even if he weren't I'd vote for Winnie the Pooh over Moore any day.

It was only a half million. Actually about $420,000.
(on a project voted "not to exceed $20,000")

  15. How about Moores treasurer. The architech for falls landing Wayne Estopenol trumping up the cost on the buildings by having roofing tiles coming from Europe, so he can make a fortune on his percentage of the cost. I think the cost was over 500,000 for the buildings because of the extra costs. He also is giving large sums to get moore reelected.

  16. There is no reason for the council to be a rubber stamp for Mayor Moore, but the early term established obstructionist political strategy clearly is not going over well for any of the currently running council members. Obstructionists would improve their voter standings by making an attempt to communicate with the mayor, who has repeatedly indicated his own interest in improving communication with the council.

Well, at least Winnie Pooh bear won't have Galligan and his clingers running the city through Julius. Fuck, Why can't some of these guys retire, fish, or spend time with their grandchildren. Jeff, and Clark County, need the 70+ year olds to let go. You fought, won, lost , won, lost. What's left? Have a double, count your money, and settle. Good for your health and the city/county.

  18. Shouldn't Moore go to council meetings if he wants to communicate? He met with them after the election, and blew them off.

  19. In a Second Class City in Indiana, a mayor does NOT conduct the city council meetings and does not have a role in those meetings.
They are responsible for their own behavior.
The council members are on their own....

Plus, the 'Hutt Character' is always there to "communicate with them"
and "lend them much needed guidance and emotional support".

Mayor Mike Moore is doing an excellent job. Rather than become involved
in that city council quagmire, he should continue to leave them
to clean up their many messes.

  20. I disagree. Moore should at least get along with the Republican members of the council. Even though he is not required to attend, he should go to one a month to show cooperation.

  21. If the Council continues to put discussion with the Mayor at the end of their agenda, then there is no reason the Mayor should try to work with them within that disparaging frame. It is hard to imagine, but it is possible that elected Jeffersonville council members do not understand professional courtesy accepted practices and blunders. If the council wants a public meeting discussion with the mayor, then they should learn and practice the basic rules of professional courtesy.
