  1. If either HT or RiverFox disappears check out the Clark Co. Jail. And hopefully someone will open a Go Fund Me account to bail us out...

  2. Been there ... done that. A lot nicer now than it was when I was in.
Nothing like they try to make it look on the Noel Freak Show.

  3. RiverFox's is a better Shop job, better blending, but yours is a superior photo choice.

I promise to open the GoFundMe when the need arises.

  5. As someone who usually will stop by and read your blog, I have to say I am appalled at the behavior of this blog. I have recently became friends with Mr. Noel wife on social media and she so eloquently documented her disgust with these antics that you display. It's one thing to not agree with Mr. Noel on his politics however it is another to have back to back personal attacks on him. Shame on all of you! You show such disgust with him however praise our Mayor for using social media to see if "people trust him" ?

    2. If you are truly a friend of hers on Facebook then you know she loves to engage in all the highschool girl drama.

  6. Come on Anon. get off your high horse...The BatBlog is done in fun and to occasionally poke a little fun at our local politicians. If you take us too seriously you need to find another blog or if any of the local politicians do as well they need to find another profession.

The BatBlog has poked fun at Mayor Moore through the years as well as most local politicians. Mike was featured in a celebrity look alike months back just like Noel as were a lot of other local office holders.

Noel also chose to delve into the reality show business apparently looking for publicity ,so any fun or criticism poked at it is deserved ...You won't find any personal attacks it is all related to his actions as a public official period...

If you or any one else has no sense of humor with our content, I suggest you aren't being forced to read it or drop in. Try another blog

  7. Wait, WHAT?!? Jamey Noel's wife is offended by PERSONAL ATTACKS!?!? Does she have any idea who she's married to?

Personal attack #1: Jamey Noel's cheap shot at Danny Rodden on the first episode of his "reality" show.

Personal Attack #2 through 793: The actions of Jamey Noel and his cronies against employees who either supported other candidates and/or are Democrats. It is DISGUSTING how unprofessional he is running the Sheriff department.

Personal Attack #3: His lack of respect for the people of Clark County. It is obvious that Noel is only interested in shoving into every aspect of local and national media. If he honestly cared about our community, he would quietly do his job and focus on the department, not spread himself too thin by being the Sheriff, the President of the Republican party, and heading up the Utica EMS service.

Her offense to all of this is completely laughable.

    1. Let's not forget Noel's ridiculously mean spirited "Grim Reaper" float in the Sellersburg parade. Unlike HT's blog, many of us had no choice but to witness that since we had children in the parade. It was such a nice event with marching bands an Shriners on mini-bikes. And then for no apparent reason, Noel & company turn it into a platform to attack Danny Rodden.

    2. Why don't you come out from behind your computer and openly ask Mr. Noel about these issue and so called opinions that you have for yourself? Or better yet address his wife personally and as her directly why she and her children are so offended by the things that are said and done here. Your little "poke of fun" may be funny to you and the others who frequent your blog but people who are close to him do not share in your humor. Simply because you found it funny doesn't make it right. Did you post any pictures of sheriff Rodden soliciting prostitutes?

    3. My photo was in response to another poster's comment.
You don't like it? ... Well WAAAHHHH!

  8. Noel's choice of making "Faux News" his personal platform says enough to me.

  9. Ht hasn't attacked Noel personally. Noel put himself up for criticism by instead of just doing his job, he seeks out publicity through news channels and now this reality nonsense. People want their sheriff catching crooks not a tv reality star.

  10. During the 2011 city elections a big deal was made about city employees that were paid full-time salaries but didn't put in 8hrs/day. The people seemed to be offended and supported MM's promise to address it.

How many hours could Noel possibly put in as Sheriff given his other responsibities plus his media tour?

There's a slogan for the next challenger, "Full-time sheriff. More for your money."

  11. It's one thing to not agree with Mr. Noel on his politics however it is another to have back to back personal attacks on him.

This has nothing to do with his "politics". This is about his television career.

I read Mrs. Noel's rant on Facebook. Did you all know that, because you participate in social media, you all "do nothing productive but write mean things and make memes" and that you should "get out if your cave and do something productive with your lives"? It's true apparently.

  12. Although I find the pictures in poor taste and yes there are several "low blows" posted on this blog , I am curious as to why you don't ever report any positive news? I understand your questioning of Sheriff Noel however he has made several positive steps as well. Having the safe place for child drop off and craig list sells, residents being able to notify authorities when they will be on vacation so closer attention can be made to their property while they are gone, citizen academy. Just a few examples in my opinion where positive things have occurred.

  13. HT maintains a personal blog, not a news organization. He's allowed to comment on whatever he wants and is under no obligation whatsoever to present a balanced perspective. And let's not forget that it was Noel himself who diverted attention away from his so-called "positive steps" when he made the unilateral decision to offer up our community as a circus for A&E to profit from and the rest of the nation to be entertained by.

    1. When Mr. Noel was applying for this position did he tell his Future bosses, the people!,that he was really an Entertainer? Did he tell his perspective employer, that if hired he was going to put all of his boss's business on a national television show? Hell NO! He and he alone is responsible for any fallout, either positive or negative that comes from this decision.I believe when applying for the position,he said he would accept responsibility for his actions. Therefore, His bosses have the right to critique his actions. His bosses absolutely should hold him accountable and responsible for this. He should be a big man and accept what comes from it AND if they determine his actions were deemed outside the scope of his duties, and that he should not have done this without their permission, He should accept those consequences. You know, there are plenty of casting calls in the entertainment world but we have only one Sheriff's position and we the taxpayers deserve better!

  14. Yes I did poke fun at Rodden several times check back through the archives of the BatBlog...As well we have poked fun at Moore, Galligan, Perkins , Jacobi and a lot of other local politicians. It is based on the word around town and there appears to be far more negative vibe about doing the reality show than positive.

I appreciate you posting the positive things Noel is done and any criticism or opposing view is welcome.

Politics and politicians are open to criticism it comes with the territory they should know that going in. If anyone is too thin skinned to take a little good natured jab on occasion or be poked fun at maybe politics isn't their game and The BatBlog isn't their Blog...

  15. Thinking back The BatBlog has published many positive things about Noel ...his organizing skills as GOP party chair in putting forth a strong slate of candidates who have put a beatdown on local Dem.'s lately....

His efforts to clean up the jail also was praised...Plus I didn't prejudge the reality show until I watched a couple of episodes and saw it for what it is...

Maybe he didn't research reality shows before opting in but they are notorious for staging, scripting and playing loose with the facts...It was a poor decision.

It will draw audiences just like the freak shows at the carnival...Freak TV created and manipulated by the producers...
