It's Time to Seat Josh Rodriquez on the Jeff City Council

Judge Andrew Adams has ruled the recount for the Jeffersonville City Council at Large Seat flawed and declared a new recount to  be held to determine the winners. The initial recount in the words of someone close to the procedure was "a real clusterf _ _ _."

Since Judge Adams has ruled the first recount void it is only right that Josh Rodriquez(D) be seated on the council until the new recount can hopefully come to a conclusion to this on going race. Rodriquez along with Nathan Samuel(D) and Matt Owen(R) were the initial Election night winners and Rodriquez should take his seat until if and when a legitimate recount ruling can determine otherwise.

Kudos to Judge Adams for appointing people he feels confident will dutifully recount all the votes and determine the true winners. The first go around (recount) appears to have been tarnished by politics...hopefully this time the results will be conclusive.

Until then Josh Rodriquez needs to take his seat on the council he rightfully won on election night, until if or when a recount overturns the results....

  1. Agree! He is the one who was declared the winner before all the recounts.
Hope he is still winner after final recount.

  2. Agree 100% and I didn't even vote for Josh. Webb should do what an honorable man would do and step down. He definitely should NOT vote on anything before this is settled

  3. I didn't vote for Josh either, but fair is fair and he was declared winner on Election night which should be the deciding factor unless it is proven otherwise in the new recount. No way Webb should be sitting in that seat after the judge's ruling...

  4. Meh. Nothing other than a new election - and I get that isn't totally doable and fair either - is going to give us anything like a real and settled outcome. They shouldn't have screwed up so damn hard in the first place.

  5. During the recount......if it doesn't match the original count, it should be recounted to see if the same tally come up before certifying. On my recount, (much smaller I might add) each recount was right on the money. Thus no change.

  6. It would help to have people doing the recount who actually know how to count.

  7. I too didn't vote for Josh, so could be wrong... I thought we went to bed on election night with Webb as the winner and sometime the next day Josh was declared?? Am I wrong?

  8. It is time for that seat to remain vacant until a actual winner is declared. Neither man should cast a vote as whole thing is a complete mess.
