Why HT Will Vote Republican on Tuesday

While I consider myself a blue dog Democrat I will choose to vote  Republican in Tuesday's Indiana primary. First time I have ever done so, but several reasons influenced my choice. Mainly it is to vote AGAINST certain candidates in a couple of key races.

In the U.S.. presidential race... I will be voting AGAINST  "Lyin Ted" Cruz ....can't stand this smarmy right wing clown. Can't stand his voice , his message or anything he stands for.

John Kasich is probably the most sensible, down to earth GOP candidate but he chose to write Indiana off by not campaigning here , so I will write him off as well on Election day.

That leaves "The Donald" Donald J. Trump. I know, I know what you're thinking. But several things I like about The Donald. The starchy, old guard  Republican establishment like "Sour Ass" Mitch McConnell (who I hate as much as Cruz) are scared to death of a Trump nomination.  They hate The Donald and that's a plus for me. I also like some of the things Trump is campaigning on... like The Wall, I like the idea of a wall protecting our borders, I like better trade agreements, I like how he calls out the GOP hierarchy for what they are and says what a lot of people think. I will be voting for The Donald...

In the Clark Co. Commissioners race I will be voting AGAINST Connie "Ms. Obstruction" Sellers. Sellers who spent the previous four years along with Ed "Moe" Zastawny, Dennis "Weeds in the Median" Julius and Mike "Mr Greenjeans " Smith doing everything in their power to block Mayor Mike Moore's agenda in a political scheme to elect Julius. The scheme failed miserably and so will Ms. Obstruction on Election Day.

There are rumors that incumbents Co. Commissioner Rick Stephenson and Co. councilperson Kelly Khuri aren't in the favor of the local GOP leadership (you know who that is) so I will vote for both proudly as they are both deserving of not only a primary win but reelection in the fall, Both are solid public servants.

Voting for Trump Tuesday doesn't mean I will vote for him in November. That is a decision to be made later. Whatever your choices are or why you vote for whomever make sure you do vote and "Remain Vigilant " my friends....

Stand Up against GOP party leadership that is touting Kelly Khuri's Opponents in tomorrow's County Council at large seat.

Vote Kelly Khuri and ONLY Kelly Khuri for Clark Co.
Republican Council at Large !!!

  3. If you want to make a statement HT why not "Feel the Bern"?? :)

I know HRC has the nomination locked-up and I'll gladly be supporting her...BUT my heart is with Bernie and hopefully he can go into the convention with enough support to have more than a little influence on the platform and the party going forward.

My 17yr old gets to vote for the first time tomorrow AND go to the Sanders rally...Coming off a great prom weekend I'm not sure how much more excitement that 17yr can stand in a 72hr period. ( He also went to the Trump rally which was a disturbing experience to say the least)...But we're an equal opportunity rally family.

As for Stephenson and Khuri, if they're out of favor with the higher-ups I wish them well. :)

  4. Yeah Jules I like Bernie as well and some of the things he stands for like changing the political financing laws. I'm actually fine with Hillary or Bernie as a Dem. nominee. Hillary has been around so long people are a little tired of her, but I think she will be all right if elected ...she will surround herself with competent people like Bill did.

On the other hand Trump is not nearly as conservative as Cruz and likewise would surround himself with a competent staff. Trump portrays the tough guy image and maybe it's time for a president that speaks his mind the way a lot of people feel but isn't always politically correct...

I lean Democratic in the general election but my mind is still on the fence...

  6. Ouch!
Attended a Socialist/Communist rally supporting the Full Blown Marxist Elitist Commie Bernie Sanders
    AND
attended an Elitist Capitalist Banking Bourgeois Exclusive Ritual Function
    known as a PROM...?
    That IS disturbing.
The Trump rally was a soothing, beneficial alternative.

  7. The Clark Co GOP is very openly campaigning against Kelly Khuri. That's 1000 points in Khuri's favor, IMHO.

Republican voters please mark only Kelly Khuri for Clark County Council At-Large tomorrow.

  8. Anon. is right there is a GOP flyer being circulated that touts Ms. Khuri's three opponents. This an outrage and a slap in the face of Clark Co. voters especially Republicans.

I like Anon. urge voters to vote ONLY for Ms. Khuri, she has been outstanding in her first term on the council and as a real champion for fiscal responsibility with our tax dollars.

I also urge fellow Democrats to follow my lead and take a Republican ballot tomorrow (it's your option)...as most Dem. races are already decided.

Vote Kelly Khuri and ONLY Khuri of the 3 selected. Show GOP leadership WHO is running these elections and WE will make our own decisions...REMAIN VIGILANT

  9. How can the Clark County GOP not support Kelly Khuri? that is ... CRAZY

Nevermind...I guess she doesn't toe the line with Tater Tot Noel. Maybe she didn't
    support "Tater Tot Noel" sufficiently.

Old Tater Tot done gone hog wild to support Terry Conway (an employee?) and other minions.

Old Tater Tot wants to control it all.

  10. I don't see how anyone can make any definitive statement about what Trump would or would not do. He never says anything of substance. He's going to replace Obamacare with "something great"? What the hell does that even mean? And all that gibberish about we will win so much we'll get sick of winning...It's all just a bunch of gobbledygook with no substance whatsoever. And, even if he did "surround himself with competent staff" (which I believe is highly unlikely - a bunch of yes men would be more suited to his style) why would you believe his ego would let him listen to their advice? Trump deserves irrelevance. If America gives him anything but irrelevance, we will be deserving of whatever happens next. And I guarantee you it won't be good.

  11. Actually I agree mostly with what you say TR. My vote is a protest vote more than anything with so called establishment politics. In reality Trump and all the other candidates pretty much promise things that none can deliver on.

Trump though has hit a nerve with admittedly a niche audience of voters who do want "America First". I'm basically undecided but as I said leaning Democratic for the fall. I like Kasich too but I didn't like the way he just dropped his campaign in Indiana.

Could never vote for Cruz period....

  12. Trump and Khuri have my vote.. Don't plan to vote for anyone else for council. I am sick of the Noel machine. I would love to know how many family & friends work for him!!

  13. Noel says he will vote for Cruz which says a whole lot about him. They deserve each other. Pretty sad and telling when the party chair doesn't support those who received the most votes in earlier elections.

    1. I'm pretty sure Noel has a right to vote for whoever he chooses. It's an individual's right to support whatever candidate they won't.

    2. I am also pretty sure ccc member has the right to question Noel's choice... again an individual right.

  15. Is it just me or is there a cold wind blowing in May?

  16. America is already FIRST... sadly lots of folks don't recognize this fact. Trump has found some really, really sad people in this country to throw in with. They are all haters. Could never vote for him, ever. Not even for a protest vote.

I'll be voting for Kelly Khuri, Rick Stephenson and Kevin Vissing.

  19. Sorry Anon. while I like your choices this is a primary election. You must choose to vote Republican or Democrat. Khuri and Stephenson are Republicans and Kevin is Democrat you won't be able to vote for all three.

One regret voting Republican I won't be able to vote for Kevin and Shelly Yoder for Representative (she always wins the swimsuit competition) but Kevin should win no matter...

  20. Since Rick and Kevin participate here, and there is time before polls close, they really need to hurry up and submit their swimsuit pics ASAP.
