Trump with his divisiveness throughout his whole campaign the primaries and general election has created a situation that will make it difficult for him to bring this nation together and actually do what he says he can do and accomplish what he promised his supporters.
America has always been great so it's hard to imagine where Trump is coming from in his "make America great again" message. The BatBlog will though give "The Donald" every chance to prove himself and show he has what it takes and improves some of the problems in the U.S. that need to be addressed.
Better paying jobs, rising medical costs and health insurance, national security, immigration are just a few of the things Trump has promised to make better and "great again." A very tall order for an ever changing world economy and a diverse demographic population.
Trump has splintered himself with his words at times from women, Hispanics, Muslims, Mexicans. the media all of which are going to need substantial proof that he will be president to all Americans , not just those who elected him...
He has a lot of work to do as he starts out as the most divisive, least popular in votes and favorability in the history of presidential politics. There will be a lot of the same Democrats that were refused by the GOP who will now refuse to work and compromise with Trump the Rep. president...
The Donald "drained the swamp" as he promised but filled it right back up again with cronies and billionaires who have to prove themselves as educated enough, concerned and dedicated to make things better for everyone all Americans....Let's see what you can do President Trump...

It is going to be interesting. Can he "make America great again" or will we see the same old crap politicians like to spread and just spin our wheels more or as I like to say "business as usual" ? If it goes bad hopefully we will survive enough to take him out of office in four years. If it goes well keep him in and hopefully everybody will benefit. Who knows what road we are going down let's just hope it's the right one.

Everyone should give him the chance to heal the rifts that he created in the heat of the campaign and bring everyone together...
ReplyDeleteI am concerned about his penchant to personally attack his critics...presidents from the beginning have critics no one agrees with everything. Instead of lashing out he needs to move on with his agenda and try to work with everyone for the betterment of the country.
While we have the right to protest...everyone needs to give him the opportunity to govern as he sees fit and give him a chance to prove himself to everyone even those he has offended.
I don't consider the ones who destroy public property,loot businesses, and injure people protesters. They are nothing but thugs and criminals using the word protester to complete their personal agenda. A true protester is one who stands up for what they believe in legally and peacefully and does no physical harm to people or property. To those true protesters I compliment you. I just don't have time for the research or the back and forth banter on the CCC.
I can drop a line or two here, however, as time allows.Some things need to be said.
I won't do this often so please forgive me if they're overly long.
One thing that I've learned from this election is that well over 50% of the voters in this country are willfully ignorant. I say "well over 50%" because I include the Hillary lovers, 'because she's a woman' voters and the 'always a Democrat' voters. Basically all of the political sheep.
The best thing to happen recently was the "alternative facts" line. Evidently George Orwell is no longer required reading in high school. This is "Newspeak" at it's finest. Those of you who believe this crap are beyond reasoning. The news outlets are dancing around this with euphemisms such as falsehoods, misinformation, false statements. ect. I prefer to just call them barefaced LIES. Trump, Spicer and Conway are, for one reason or another, outright liars. This IS NOT an alternative fact. It's what you can expect from Teabaggers most Republicans for the next four years. Have fun.
