Meet the Candidates - Election 2011
More of HT's Analysis

With HT's candidacy at jeopardy and in limbo at this time I have decided to move forward and examine all the candidates in the 2011 mayoral election as well as some other local races. HT will try to be unbiased and fair in analyzing each candidate and their chances. My analysis will culminate with a pre-election night Prediction Special where I will predict the upcoming races. HT was very accurate in predicting the inroads made by the GOP in the Clark County, state and national races last year and should provide some interesting predictions this year as well. You can look forward to guest commentary, by my friend the mysterious "The Hood Hunts in a Pack" as well. I'm sure he'll weigh in from time to time. I will also post updates from GAW- Goliathandwimmens ( the local place to be for breaking election and political news.) I encourage all readers as well to leave comments about the candidates and races. It looks like an exciting and interesting election with a very diversified field for voters to chose from. Over the next several weeks I'll take each candidate and one by one thoroughly go over candidacy and analyze their chances in both the primaries and the general election. We will even post some odds where you can make a bet with your local bookie.

Yes, H-T CERTAINLY NAILED both the "shellacking" at the national level by the Republicans of the Democrats AND the big gains in Clark County as well! RESPECT!

  2. H-T: Lets have some FUN! Your opinions/estimates, please, from the readers to the following: How many votes will be cast in the spring for mayor in the Democrat primary? (Forget the Republican primary for mayor as w/o a contested race, the primary contest is moot. it is decided. We will also examine the city council races later.) How many votes will be cast in the general election for mayor? What percentage of the vote's actually cast and/or the raw total vote go to each of the four Democrats? TBP, TG, RW, and KV? In the fall, how many votes will be cast for mayor? What percentage will the Democrat candidate, the Republican candidate, and the Third Party candidate each receive? Percentages? Try to methodically determine the various scenarios, percentages and raw vote totals. Obviously, different nominees could change the fall results somewhat.

  3. H-T: I know that you have already planned to post observations and predictions later. The H-T is very sharp! Would you complete an H-T "premlinary" analysis of the above critieria please? This would be a "starting point" analysis of the races, raw vote and percentages, just to begin the discussion. Spring and fall. Obviously, analysis subject to potential periodic adjustment as the race unfolds. Also, the award winning Bat-Blog may also attract the breakdowns of your intelligent readers and..... maybe even some off-beat percentage analysis by some.....Trolls!
