The question now is. Was this a brilliant political move or a big mistake by Mr. Moore ?? Ultimately only time and the electorate of Jeffersonville will make that determination, but I see it as a shrewd move on Mr. Moore's part. While there will be some dyed in the wool Democrats who will cry foul and vote accordingly, the majority of voters in my opinion are a pretty smart group who will vote for the individual not the party.
Mike Moore |
Mr. Moore a conservative spender as a Co.Commissioner is probably more closer aligned with the GOP ideology of less government and spending anyway, so this is not a big swing in political ideals. Are there Pitfalls ?? Of course, as I mentioned earlier solid straight Dem. party voters will have a hard time with this switch. Others may question his loyalty to a party that elected him in the past. But with an influx of young, non-political, and annexed voters and considering the results of last years elections where the GOP made some great inroads against traditionally solid Dem. candidates, I applaud Mr. Moore's change of course. Democrats it's your move.

"A third party in the fall? Hmmmm.......those that have tried to harm/block Democracy may not succeed. The "switching paries" thing amy well backfire. This is interesting. A Third Party would give another choice. It is a very good idea and is very good for the public to have multiple choices!"
ReplyDeleteH-T: Readers of the award winning Bat-Blog that venture over to the sinister CCC can hit a "link" on the CCC(a picture of Goliath) to visit GAW. Isn't this dangerous?
ReplyDeleteIt just might backfire. IMO a flip flop is a flop.
ReplyDeleteI applaud the young candidate Matt Owen. He has the guts Mike Moore should have had when he was not true to his "party" and flipped to the Democratic ticket.
Now the flopper is going to try and garner support from both parties. But true Republicans who have waited for a courageous candidate like Mr. Owen are ready to vote. You're wasting money you should put back into Jerry's to purchase some new decor.
