Another interesting race in the Dist.5 GCCS board race pits incumbent Pres. of the School Board Christine Gilkey against political newcomer and long time writer for the Courier-Journal Dale Moss. Gilkey has been a controversial member of the board with her stance on Dr. Daeschner and her ties to the polarizing Edward Culpepper Cooper longtime Clark Co. insurance agent. Moss on the other hand has a squeaky clean reputation based mainly on his non confrontational articles for the C-J.Based on information from the BatBlog Poll Ms. Gilkey could face a stiff challenge to being reelected. We here at the BatBlog believe Moss name recognition and his reputation as an all round good guy will carry him past Ms. Gilkey this November. The School board led by Gilkey has made some controversial decisions this past year and that along with Moss' popularity will lead to a Dale Moss victory this fall. Mr Moss also has the endorsement of us here at the BatBlog.....

Dale Moss is too closely tied to Tom Lindley and his ilk.
