The Greater Clark Co. School Board Dist. 6 race finds newcomer Alice Dorman Butler facing off against sitting board member Jerry White who replaced former board member Robbie Valentine who resigned. Ms.Butler a dedicated follower and advocate for the GCCS system faces a tough challenge going up against an already seated board member Mr. White.While the BatBlog Poll shows Ms. Butler slightly behind Mr. White at this point, we here at the BatBlog endorse Alice Butler who we believe will be a dedicated, hard working board member, who will do what is best for children and parents of GCCS students. Ms. Butler does face an uphill battle as Mr. White being a sitting member already has the name recognition advantage. At this point we have to give the edge to Jerry White but we still have another month for Ms. Butler to make up the difference.....
I see Alice at almost every board meeting she is very dedicated and I hope she wins.

ReplyDeleteI like Mr. White, but there has been nothing tenacious about his time on the school board. He is, unfortunately, very much a member of the majority voting block, and the way he was brought onto the board is troubling.

Go Alice. I know you will be an independent voice on the board.
I've had the pleasure of meeting/speaking with Alice on several occasions and she's more than convinced me that her utmost dedication is to the students of the GCCS. She certainly has my vote. Go Alice!
