Pence and state Republicans are already scrambling to try and minimize the damage that already may be done by the "religious freedom act" that many people including prominent business leaders have chastised for allowing the possibility of discrimination.
Unfortunately for Indiana residents and businesses this idiotic law has already thrown up a red flag. The perception of being able to discriminate against gays, blacks or whoever in the realm of this law is already fairly or unfairly perceived. Threatened boycotts of Indiana as convention sites and business locations is in the air thank to our clueless lawmakers...

The BatBlog wonders why the "religious freedom" bill was needed or even thought up, We may have missed it but we haven't seen any cases where religious freedoms have been violated recently and the Constitution of the United States is pretty thorough in protecting religious rights,
The BatBlog thinks this was just another case of idiot law makers including our own Ron (Wishy Washy) Grooms and Pence making some right wing wacko political statement. Hopefully Indiana citizens and business owners won't suffer from their political stupidity....
The wording has been changed so discrimination would not be allowed in the face of this law.

That ... and he's now a national laughing stock.
Agreed this is sad and Pence came out of this looking like a clown...he has disalienated himself from both the average Hoosier and the far right wing bible thumpers this legislation was supposed to appease...This bill was a waste of time and effort by lawmakers who obviously don't have anything important to do....we need to rid ourselves of Grooms who is practically useless as a legislator...
