Shakeup in the Probation Office ???

The BatBlog has learned that Steve Mason is out as Director of  Community Corrections in Clark Co.. What happened ...was he fired ??? retired ???. I guess we'll never know, the word on the street is he signed a confidentiality agreement that won't let him discuss his employment or non - employment status. It seems like a cover up of transparency that someone payed with our tax dollars is let go, fired or retired and we aren't give a reason why or what happened. If he was fired...
why ?? and by whom ???

Answers anyone ??? It seems peculiar because Mr. Mason hasn't discussed retirement plans before hand which is  usually the norm....Who will be the new director ??? and how will they be chosen ???

  1. Just wondering how common is it for city and county employees to be required to sign these confidentiality agreements?

Seem like it goes against open records laws and breeds against transparency in government.
