The BatBlog has heard a rumor (not yet confirmed) that Clark County Commissioners will not return Tom "Bulldozer" Galligan as president of the Clark Co. Air board. If true one can believe that this isn't a unanimous decision. Connie "Rino" (republican in name only) Sellers is a long time Galligan crony and one would believe would be none to happy with this rumored change at the top of the aviation board.
This precludes the rumor that Sellers may take on current Jeffersonville mayor Mike Moore in the next mayoral election GOP primary (2019) ...Sellers never a big fan of Mayor Moore (one remembers the long faces of Sellers and Ed "Moe" Z when Moore won in 2011) now even more (no pun intended) Sellers may want to show local Republicans who's the Queen of local politics...
Rumors for now but if true remember where you heard it first....
Tom was indeed removed by a 2-1 vote. Sellers was dissenting vote.
ReplyDeleteYou and I hear the same rumors!!
ReplyDeleteWord is Tom is out and Connie's panties are bunched.
Queen Connie will have to learn that every body of government doesn't operate the way Galligan's puppets performed on the Jeff City council that she was a member of.
ReplyDeleteGood move by the commissioners...Give Galligan a plaque and say good bye !!!
Give him a pair of those wings they give kids on air flights.
DeleteDoesn't Sellers know that Galligan is a democrat and all commissioners are now republicans, it's a wonder he held the position this long.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen this in the Evening News or the Courier, the Batblog once again out scoops them all.
ReplyDeleteTom spent countless hours seeking improvement of the airport (for the princely sum of $35/month). He was also easily the second best Mayor that Jeffersonville has had during my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteYeah he was great for council members, friends and family who were provided jobs and work for. the average taxpayer not so much...Sewer rates quadrupled under Galligan, taxes went up, he wasted away ?millions on canal plans plans and taking homeowners property for a canal that is nonexistant.
DeleteHe illegally fired sewer plant operators resulting in lawsuits...Illegally started projects without the required permits resulting in ?millions more wasted and projects still unfinished...
Yeah he was great !!!
He also annexed in thousands of homeowners who wanted no part of being in the city of Jeffersonville.
DeleteI guess if you like no progress and higher taxes and sewer bills Galligan is your man. Downtown was dead under galligan and look at it now. My way or the highway mentality doesn't work, if there had been any decent opposition to galligan when he ran he would have never been elected in the first place. Jeff was stagnant during the galligan years look at Jeff now it has grown by leaps and bounds.
DeleteTom kinda reminds me of Trump, not always politically correct when he speaks or acts, but gets stuff done.
ReplyDeleteYeah he reminds me of Trump too...All talk not much action...
DeleteWhat has Trump done? Said he would repeal obamacare first day in, we still have it. Finish off Isis, they are still there. Build wall , congress says not so fast. Tried to stop immigration, courts stopped it. He's done nothing yet
DeleteTom got stuff done all right!
ReplyDeleteBulldoze someone's property? Done!!!!
Kill trees? Done!!!!
Run people out of their homes? Done!!!!
Talk smack about JPD? Done!!!!
Double sewer bills? Double done!!!!
Thank gosh he's DONE!!!!
Galligan was great mayor. Isn't he running again in 2019?

ReplyDeleteIt's really sad that a person can be so consumed by someone else who doesn't even know that they exist nor do they care.
ReplyDeleteYour showing your ignorance Anon. he is very much aware and it eats at him because that's who he is. The BatBlog isn't consumed just pointing out fact to an unaware public...

ReplyDeleteThese all-consuming negative "hate attacks" upon Hoosier Taxpayer
are instigated by the "person" using Saul Alinsky tactics.
Hoosier Taxpayer should immediately declare
a "trigger warning" and immediately head
to a "safe space".
I understand that there is one provided
at the Clark County airport
for these emergencies.
Yes Tom is out and Clarksville very own Fetter Family mouth piece is in Jong Baity, now you now why Clarksville handed over all that money to Airport Authority and stated that "by doing that they will have a voice on how Clarksville is represented". Now as rumor has it this would explain a lot of things going on in Clarksville and Clark County wouldn't you say so? I'm open to any feed back along with the Lenfert issue about it being how now Clarksville has two voices on County Council to swing things our way in Clarksville........oh what a web we weave.....
ReplyDeletePale Rider said:..."now you now why Clarksville handed over all that money to Airport Authority"..."Now as rumor has it this would explain a lot of things going on in Clarksville and Clark County wouldn't you say so?"
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting!
Could you explain a lot more detail about that?
Bat Blog Economics Analysis
ReplyDeleteTom Galligan is out at the airport and that is "unusual" to sat the least.
He has been a tireless worker for promoting the airport as part of Clark County's economic growth and increased transportation/supply distribution enhancement.
The backward political insider "power play"
to remove him would seem to NOT be a very intelligent move.
How does replacing him on the airport board
help Clarksville
or the Clarksville Republican Party?
I fail to see any economic benefit to Clarksville
or Clark County by replacing Mayor Galligan.
What is really going on?
This is a "strange web" indeed.
steering this back on Trump...
ReplyDeleteThe only thing 45 has going for him is the Obama economy! Everything 45 has touched has turned to crap. He got a Navy SEAL killed in a disastrous, premature raid in Yemen. It cost taxpayers $100,000,000, including 75mil for the destroyed Osprey.
He has lost his Labor, Army, Navy nominees, and his National Security Adviser ousted, 10 committee members resigned, 6 staffers escorted out by the FBI. And it's only Day 38.
And Russia collusion. Don't forget Russia. 45 and his campaign staff were colluding with the Russian government to get elected. This is all FINE AND DANDY with the GOP apparently.
ReplyDeleteSnowman, what does this topic have to do with Trump?
ReplyDeleteHe is not involved in our local air board is he?
Bat Blog Government Update
ReplyDeleteHeh..heh...heh... Trump rocks!
What an amazing turnaround in America's freedoms,
the throwing out of the "Administration Socialist State Government",
and developing economic prosperity.
Did those pesky Rooskies hack the Oscars, too?

ReplyDeleteBat Blog Parable Tail
ReplyDeleteA par-a-ble.
[par-uh-buh l]
noun
1. short allegorical story designed to illustrate or teach some truth,
religious principle, or moral lesson.
2. a statement or comment that conveys a meaning indirectly by the use of comparison, or analogy.
In a county galaxy Far Far Away,
from Long Long Ago, there was a discussion on an air board
about a revamping the way it sold fuel at its county airport
in order to make to make a profit for the taxpayers.
Said air board from the distant galaxy also allegedly gave an OK for a plane to take off and the plane crashed due to allegedly being overweight.
Criticism allegedly ensued.
An air board member allegedly supported the change in fuel sales
and was allegedly critical of the go ahead clearance for the takeoff for the crashed plane.
Bat Blog Air Board Drama Update
ReplyDeleteTom Galligan was an excellent member of the air board,
proposed the change in fuel sales to raise tax money for the support of the airport, and was concerned that there may have been an overweight air plane that was cleared for a takeoff that subsequently crashed at the end of the runway.
Why was he suddenly ousted?
Surely the N-T and the C-J can investigate.
