  4. This makes you realize just how important life is and how insignificant other things like politics really are. I believe Josh has a wife and 2 small children. My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to them. This is a real loss for our community Josh though I never met him seemed to be and what I've heard was a passionate, caring, good man ...a real loss for his family and our community...Rest In Peace Josh ...

    4. The vice chair usually becomes chair. They will have to caucus for a new vice chair I believe.

    5. I barely knew Josh but could tell he had a huge heart and cared for his community in a way so few can. This county will certainly miss his love and passion for it. :(

  9. Miller is Acting Chair. There will be an election for Chair within 30 days. There will be a caucus to fill his council seat as well.

  10. Bat Blog Council Update
Ron Elis ran and finished very close
to third in the 18,000 votes cast race in 2015.

Ron is the frontrunner, and rightly so, for the city council position.
Fairness Dictates his appointment by the precinct organization.
Mr. Ellis will do a very good job for Clark County.

  11. It seems that both Ms. Miller and Ms. Conlin
    have serious injuries from falls.

We hope they are both doing well.

  12. Josh's wife Meredith was by his side throughout his campaign and she is just as involved in the betterment of the community as Josh was. No question but that she should be offered Josh's seat and she has the heart and brains to be a wonderful public servant.

  13. Ron Ellis will fill the vacant at large seat. If Meredith runs in the next election, I will support her 100%!
