Just noticed that the TrackRat's account was closed on the Clark County Chatter. I always enjoyed TR's comments which are most of the time right on and usually with a little bit of sarcasm added....I realize sarcasm isn't much tolerated on the CCC but just wondering what happened to the ole TrackRat. I know he checks in from time to time...care to comment TR ??? or send me an e-mail...just wondering about you...
I like TR's posts as well, I'm pretty sure he has had issues with Quasar like you did. Not sure if he just quit or was evicted LOL.

ReplyDeleteThat's correct. It was beginning to feel like some people were too obsessed with my name. Even when I posted in 100% agreement with some, they just had to maintain an adversarial position against me. I got tired of comments like "I hate to agree with TrackRat but..."
ReplyDeleteOver the years I have accumulated quite a list of haters. I don't count Quasar among them. Even though we seldom agreed on anything, he could always separate the post from the poster. Other people, not so much.
So I decided to take a break. I also thought it might be a good time to retire the TrackRat brand. I'm proud of my history on the Chatter and Hey Martha before that. But some people were just plain creeping me out.
I'm not trying to be sneaky with the name change which is why I kept my TR icon (the best icon on the Chatter btw!) and am now posting under the name of Persona non Grata.
And thanks to you HT and all the rest for the kind words.
