Feuding Democrats

City councilman at large candidate Ron Ellis (D) is pretty upset and calls out Dem. party county chairman Tom Galligan  " needs to resign get back in a bulldozer and let someone with leadership skills guide our party" also according to Ellis "There has been so much manipulation of the vote totals for the council at large seats, there will have to be a recount to see who wins."

  1. No one has the balls to tell Galligan to resign and his ego won't allow him to step down.Good for Ron Ellis for saying what a lot of people really feel.

  2. Ron clearly has said balls.

  3. Wonder what he meant by "manipulation"?

  4. Ron is right. The D party is in shambles and TG is a total joke. He needs to step aside and leave it to someone with some team building skills who actually knows how to turn on a computer or even win elections. Someone without an AARP card. How about a Nicole Yates or Donna Ennis, Andy Steele or someone with organizational skills and an education. As a republican I hope he stays in there forever. But it's a total joke and embarrassment for Dems.

I hope he doesn't try to take ANY credit for Dustin's win after the screwing his own party put to him, again.

And he didn't do shit for Julius, other than run around flapping his gums and being butthurt because he wanted to run his own tired ass for mayor again.

  5. Don't know what "manipulation" Ellis is talking about but the BatBlog has been calling for Galligan to step down for years.

He was elected by the old old precinct committeemen who's time has passed by
..Fresh ,energetic new blood needs to be infused to a dying party ASAP...

  6. Goliath 3,000 year too old for Party Chairman.

Pesty Flannigan: Not responsible enough to be Party Chairman

Pesty version 2.0 Too entrenched in Tea party CCC to be Party Chairman

Goliath's Shyster Lawyer: Like Jeb Bush, lacks Energy to be Chairman

Erma Thrask: Not Politically correct enough

YMC: Been dissed too much to be Chair

Teresa Perkins: Sorry: former spouse of Toxic John rules out.

Dalai Lemme: Nope...Kentucky roots are too deep.

Hood what hunt in pack (et.al.,) Foreign Policy missions mean not enough time for local
    politics plus too damn old.

Grumpy Granny: Ruled out because of multiple defeats in cyberwars with Gawnews

    Jules... Hmmm Jules

I think we have a winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Actually Galligan's ties to Julius killed his chance to be elected...Julius was considered Galligan Lite and a lot of people thought Galligan was behind the scenes manipulating D.J.

  8. Goliath's shyster lawyer would be excellent as chair...fair , open minded, fairly young and a good people person....just what the party needs...

Goliath needs to ease up on GG I think she tired of hearing that shit about "cyber defeats" and so is the Big Q...

  9. Goliath is correct:
" 'Hood what hunt in pack (et.al.,) Foreign Policy missions
mean not enough time for local
    politics plus too damn old."

"Double Secret Op" Foreign Policy Missions
    in the Middle-East and Russia,
    keeping the 'Hood
    too busy,
    we are told.
    LHH concurs.

  10. Big "G" you make me giggle!! :)

It's true that Jules's organizing skills are second to none...But she's too busy right now organizing other things...Like her closet (switching summer/winter), her kitchen cabinets, a cross-country banquet, and Christmas flights and gifts!!...Plus, her strong affinity for all things Bernie Sanders right now might make it appear she's a little too left of the local Democratic party!! :)

Seriously, I genuinely like Tom Galligan...And regardless of what some of you think, or how the election went, downtown Jeffersonville is what it is right now because of him...And I'll argue that with anyone...Maybe in the next 4yrs Moore will add something, (besides the Marina), to it too...We have to hope so anyway...But what you see right now and what people are liking is 90% Galligan.

And because of those things I have a hard time saying he should step down...But there does come a time when perhaps "additional" insight and leadership is needed...I just really struggle saying someone who has done so much at one time is no longer needed or relevant...And not just in this situation...Perhaps some type of co-chair for awhile....Although that might not work at all...I don't know. Lol

  11. Goliath has proven
    that he can successfully fight
    a simultaneous "Two Ocean War".
The Mighty Warrior had wanted "Peace in Our Time",
but alas , it has not come about.

  12. Galligan was on the tail end of downtown improvement plans without actually creating or completing anything. Fail to see his relevance.
