Police Cover Up ??? ...Above the Law

Interesting story about a domestic situation in New Albany involving a city police officer where crimes may have been committed.  for the story CLICK HERE the officer involved is also the center of claims made against the NAPD made by officer Laura Schook in the video (below). The BatBlog gets the distinct perception that this smells of a cover up. Which raises the question, are police above the law here locally??? The BatBlog has documented earlier how several Jeff and Clark Co. Sheriff's Dept. employees have seemed to escaped through the back door of the justice system. It seems to us anyone being paid with tax dollars and working in law enforcement or the justice system would preclude them from breaking any law, and if found guilty removal from their position of authority should be mandatory. Unfortunately the justice system has ways around bringing these people up on the charges they were arrested for and we find that indeed some of our civil servants are above the law....

  1. HT you are right on the money. I am posting secretly because I do not want to be punished by the system for saying the truth. Inside the legal system everyone knows the Grand Jury is steered the direction the prosecutor wants it to go. remember the saying, "you can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich". Conclusion: Keith Henderson wanted to a. Act like he was dealing with the situation and b. not have to charge a cop with a crime. This ia all part of the insidious corruption of our system where cop truth trumps reality truth. Keith is an ISP kid from way back and is always going to be a cop mind.

Now take a look at who the players are. ...even though she is ofter a nitwit JIYABIRD on the CCC has it right that Richard Rush was the interloping DUDE. Meanwhile Keith washed out some sort of crooked real estate deal .... IT IS CROOKED and it will STAY CROOKED until we get somebody new in charge.

  2. Unless a officer commits some major crime like murder, chances are it will not be prosecuted at least here locally.

  4. Because most local police and sheriff's deputies are hired for who they know and not on qualifications, you have those who do feel they are above the law.

Our prosecutors because they work hand in hand with them have a reluctance to prosecute officers, which leads to situations as described in this story.

  5. Its a sad reality that no one trusts the police. They are too often "above the law". Even law abiding citizens cringe when a police car follows them. Henderson can bankrupt the city with his incompetence yet he has no political opposition. He doesn't have to worry about lawsuits, it's not his money!

  6. With mostl politicians it is NEVER their money they are blowing. They don't care about us, the public who they have sworn to protect. Oh no, to be sure it is all about the money.

  7. To me there should be zero tolerance for police that break the law. They should be held to a higher standard because they serve the public. That goes for judges and other elected officials as well....

The problem is those in the respective positions don't like to prosecute , arrest their own therefore leading to cover ups on all levels...

  8. For example what happened to the Jeff PD officer who was purchasing steroids.......... nothing apparently. If it were a poor white or black man they would have buried in the system by now! They would still be held without bond.

  9. ^^^^^^^
That's *IF* they were even taken to court to be arraigned and have bond set. Steroids are a drug, which would've landed in Jacobi's court. We all know that Jacobi doesn't always honor the 14th amendment and due process of law!
