Still Waiting...

Prosecutor S. Stewart
The BatBlog figured it would be after the recent primary election before we would hear anymore about the continuing Drug Court drama. After all one would hardly expect a Dem. prosecutor (Stewart) to make an incumbent Dem. judge (Jacobi) look any worse than he already does right before an election. But come on it will soon be nearly 4 months since a special prosecutor was assigned to investigate the alleged civil rights and due process violations as well as a false arrest allegation on drug court participants. How long does it take on an investigation that was several months on going even before the special prosecutor was named ??? What and who is the the holdup ???

We were supposed to hear about possible criminal charges against some of the drug court employees. Two of which were either fired or let go by Judge Jacobi ...The civil suit is moving forward, are the prosecutors trying to protect Jacobi who supposedly has immunity in the case ??? What gives and what's the status of those involved ???   Curious minds are wondering....

  1. I think they are hoping we will forget about it and it will all just blow over. I hope someone somewhere has the courage to stand up and do the right thing.

  3. Wonderful blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News.

Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo
News? I've been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Cheers

  4. My guess is they are in damage control mode, and are not sure how best to handle this. If they prosecute the two employees it will get ugly and the two employees are going to try to nail Jacobi to the wall...

This is an election year and any more bad publicity will be avoided at all costs...

  6. Well we certainly don't want to do anything to make any of the remaking good ol boys look bad right before an election now do we. Total power totally corrupts every time.

  7. By not prosecuting, in my opinion, they give the voters a huge reason to vote for Jeremy Mull.

Either the Democrats show that they are willing to hold their own accountable, or they give Mull a wonderful campaign platform for the fall.

Divided government, in this case is very much needed. Otherwise the Queen Bee will rule the courthouse without impunity.

  8. Amen brother, preach it out loud. You are exactly right. If they can't or won't police their own then we the voters need to do it. You prosecute one or two and see how fast the others fall in line.

  9. It's a big dilemma or you would already have heard something by now.
they have no idea how to handle this without a lot of people looking bad.

Therefore the wait is on and hope the public forgets about it, the thing is the civil cases will keep it in the news for years

  10. Some of you are nuts if you think Jeremy Mull being elected to 'clean up' is the answer.

NOTE TO PUBLIC: Jeremy Mull is, NOW , AT THIS VERY MOMENT, the Chief Deputy Prosecutor running the Clark County Prosecutor's office. IF YOU WANT CHANGE...he is NOT the choice.

  11. Good Lord! Is nobody going to clean up this corruption? As peoples civil rights were allegedly violated, why haven't the Feds looked into the court situation? And it's not just Clark Co. Floyd Co Probation had a similar abuse problem years ago that made the papers and was eventually covered up. The creep did not even lose his job! He remains on the public dole after allegedly costing the taxpayers thousands of dollars.

  12. He isn't running the office. Stewart is. Poorly.

  13. Mull can't do anything without Stewarts approval and we all know that ain't going to happen.

  14. You want to blame it on Stewart and think "Gee if only Jeremy Mull had a free hand"...

    What folly.

  15. Who is the elected prosecutor? Not Mr. Mull. So who do you think makes the decissions in that office? Not Mr.m
Mull, at least not until January.

  16. I have to agree Mull is merely the deputy prosecutor...Stewart still calls the shots. Are is supposed to anyway...Stewart stands in the background while Mull does all the dirty work...

  17. So we're supposed to believe Mull's opponent, Bob Bottorff the former Dem chair, is going to prosecute some of his own? Ha!

  18. Mull wants to bring a case and Stewart 'won't let him' ...that's the idea?

    Hilarious.

You guys and gals are DREAMING.

  19. It would appear that the prosecutor in Floyd Co. will convene a grand jury to investigate internal issues with the NAPD. Interesting how the Clark Co. prosecutor has never investigated the ongoing activities in the Clark Co. Courthouse.
