The BatBlog Endorses Perry McCall for Clark Co. Auditor

The BatBlog feels there needs to be a shakeup in the Clark Co. Auditor's office. Local attorney and political newcomer Perry McCall (D) faces a tough challenge facing incumbent Monty Snelling (R). Snelling was part of the Co. Council that put the county in deep financial problems and we didn't feel like he handled a threatened lawsuit against the City of Jeffersonville professionally. Never the less Snelling being the incumbent probably has an edge on Mc Call...but the BatBlog feels Mr. Mc Call's background and experience as an attorney makes him a good choice for Auditor and endorses and supports his candidacy.

  2. This blog has lost all credibility now. Look at perry's criminal record and explain to me how he is qualified to be trusted with the money of the county.

  3. Sorry Mr. BatBlog. We don't need yet another "good ole boy" in political office! I'd vote for a communist bald dog before another good ole boy gets my vote.

  5. I thought I might get some flack for endorsing Perry, but I stand behind my post.

He has had some issues as a private citizen (DUI) that I'm sure he regrets.
I don't know him personally, but have been told he is a honest man who has moved on and away from his problems.

His experience and education as an attorney make me feel he is more qualified to be Auditor then a house painter.

Snelling made huge mistakes as county councilman that helped put the county in dire financial straits, and some would say it was almost criminal the amount of money he tried to expunge from the city when his house was damaged by a police officers bullet.

I admire Mc Call's courage for running for office knowing his personal issues would crop up by the narrow minded. Perry has difficult task against an incumbent office holder that will be difficult to overcome.

This is his first attempt at office I believe and I don't consider him "a good ole boy."

  6. By the way if Mr. McCall had any of the same issues while in office, I would be the first to call for his resignation...

  7. People have always been jealous of Perry McCall I noticed. I know him quite well for a long time. He is honest, solid. 100 percent.

I witnessed him go through hard times following the end of his marriage. I also was there...first hand...as he resolved to commit to overcome and be the clean and healthy person he is and has been now for the past years.

I don't know if he will be the best Auditor Clark County ever had or not. I just know this....what he sets out to do he usually does...and more.

  8. For those of you unaware Goliath is a law partner with Mr. McCall and probably knows him better than anyone.

His word is good enough for me, I encourage everyone to vote for Perry McCall for Auditor
