Judge Jacobi Should Resign - HT's Take on Drug Court

Though the Drug Court investigation is still in the hands of the Clark Co. prosecutor's office and the Director has been fired, it is time for Judge Jerry Jacobi presiding over the drug court to resign. At the very least he is guilty of mismanaging and  not having institutional control over the drug court program and his employees. Plus it appears to have been a case of gross neglect by the judge directly, to allegedly allow 2 and possibly 3 defendants to be held in the Co. jail for much longer than their sentence dictates, and allegedly not allow their rights of due process and rights to an attorney. I don't know the requirements for removing a sitting judge, but the Clark Co. Commissioners and the County Council should at least ask publicly for Judge Jacobi's resignation.

 Just another instance where the burden of  mistakes of a Clark Co. office holder will be laid upon the taxpayers to monetarily reimburse those citizens whose rights may have been trampled on by those elected and paid to serve the citizens of the County.The county is looking at least 2 rights violations lawsuits and a possible a wrongful termination suit now. Hopefully the Clark County prosecutors office will get the full story and prosecute all those necessary, something they in the past  have seemed to be unwilling to do when it concerns County employees or officials.

   Once again in the national news Clark Co. is making headlines in a disgraceful and embarrassing manner, it's past time for the voters wake up and make sure these things stop happening now and in the future....In the meantime Judge Jacobi you should resign now....Anyway that's my take.....
