More on the Drug Court Suspensions and Clark Co. Politics

******************************UPDATE******************************************************
No response yet from Judge Jerry Jacobi instead local attorney Larry Wilder is doing the talking and handling the damage control for Jacobi's drug court. Doesn't look good when a judge has to have his attorney answer for him....

It will be interesting to hear a response from Judge Jerry Jacobi today on the suspensions of two of his Drug Court employees. The alleged wrongful arrest happened nearly  4 months ago. Why was the action (suspension) implemented only after the story was leaked to the press ?? Why was a private investigator hired instead of a police investigation ?? It sure smells of a cover up which is becoming the norm in Clark Co. politics and government. Just recently we had other County government cover ups where a Co. employee was (legally/ illegally) paid under the table and a former Co. Commissioner's relative appeared to have inside information that resulted in  several tax sale properties bought at a very minimal price. Those incidents along with the blatant nepotism and financial
problems of the Co. are giving us a bad name. There is way too much hiring of relatives and friends in Co. government and until we get more qualified leaders elected and more qualified employees hired, things like this will continue. The recent election of Rick Stephenson as Co. Comm. is a step in the right direction. Mr. Stephenson has said that he will hire no one related to him, hopefully Mr. Stephenson will honor his word and this trend will continue through other office holders....
