While the Republican party continues to make huge advances locally with fresh, young, and attractive candidates and solid leadership the Dem.'s don't have a clue and continue on with the "good ole boy days" in the positions of leadership. The Dem.s have the potential with some exciting candidates of their own but until they put the "old" horses

The Batblog thought Bottoroff was a step in the right direction but for whatever reason he is stepping down. It's time for a another younger Democrat with leadership abilities to step forward and save the party from further embarrassment and defeat at the polls. Our fear though is that the "old" dogs have firmly entrenched their cronies into positions that will continue this travesty on the voters. Political history is filled with old men whose egos won't allow themselves to step aside and allow the younger generation to step forward, much to the detriment of the voting public and progress.....

Doesn't this have to be voted on the same as last time when Bob was put in after Rod Pate stepped down? A little presumptive to assume he will be the only one. If so, this will be a giant step backwards for the party. The bully attitude doesn't work anymore. Times have changed....the candidates offered by the Democratic party has not. The Republican party is laughing all the way to the polls.
Very well said and much in line with how most voters feel. The Dem. party leadership is an old boys club and clique. They are living on a past history where all you had to be was a democrat within the system to be elected.

I'm not a Democrat, but if Bob really is stepping down and Galligan is their next best hope, I feel sorry for them. Talk about needing a deeper bench!
If I remember right there was some sort of controversy about whether or not extending the sewer lines and the sewer plant were for personal gain for properties owned ???

I think we need a more reliable source than Hutt before we believe this. Every time somebody feeds him a line of BS and he runs to the Chatter with it. I don't believe a word he says.

ReplyDeleteI have been a Democrat most of my life. However, this cast of Clark Co. Dem. characters must go. Every few years there needs to be a major purge. As they say, total power corrupts completely! The party needs young blood who owe no political debt.
