From the News/ Tribune Click Here . Well the lawsuits and tort claims are starting to come in , the latest a $750,000 tort claim by drug court participant Cody Hendrick. As we get more and more into this thing and more information comes out it looks like the whole damn system (Jacobi, drug court employees and board, sheriff's Dept., prosecutor's office) are at least partially to blame for this mess as it moves forward. Mr. Kendrick's attorney claims after his client was released from his alleged illegal arrest, the Clark Co. Circuit Co. didn't release the original warrant causing Mr. Hendrick to being rearrested in Jefferson Co. Ky. on the warrant that should have been released earlier. We are seeing total incompetence all the way up and down the judicial, prosecutor, and penal systems. People are not doing their jobs that we pay our hard earned tax dollars for them to do. What's the answer ??? and How is Clark Co. going to pay these lawsuits and the huge attorney's fees that will go along with them ???

It keeps happening because there is no one ever held accountable for their actions. The Clark Co. criminal justice system holds the defendants accountable, but never their own employees. There is so much incompetence that stuff like this will continue to happen until we get some better leaders in the courthouse. The politicians won't pay for this, we will as our taxes will go through the roof while the politicians keep giving cronies jobs and living the high life. Be very careful who you vote for this election year as it will have long term effects.
ReplyDeleteDefendants aren't always being held accountable either. Some of the worst get lost in the stupid.
ReplyDeleteGood Post 1st Anon. I agree whole heartily, There's way too much nepotism in all facets of C.C. politics and government , Jeffersonville as well. It has lead to rampant incompetence, dereliction of job performances and lawsuits.
ReplyDeleteI feel there has been inroads into a change from the results of the last couple of elections, but until voters become more in tune with what is going on it will continue. That's what these incompetent politicians rely upon an uncaring , uneducated public and voters.
Unfortunately it takes a incident(s) like the drug fiasco to bring it to the masses' attention.....
Anon 2 how are the defendants not being held accountable ???
ReplyDeleteIn my experience they are held as accountable as the judicial, penal systems allow them to be.
They are most entitled to their constitutional rights which in this case it appears they weren't....
Sheeeeuuuut.....it b'cause dude's got'a mentality..."I'm J Jacobi, gawdammit!....an' I....am.....GAWD!!...."
ReplyDeleteI hope they clean they frig'n clock..they's so many rights violations in'is sh*t....it'a take a 2nd, an' 3rd recorder ta keep track.....an' prolly a 4th on standby,make'n sure the 1st 2 got it all...LOLOLOL....
Let us all vote with our heads this year, not just for who has what letter behind their name.
ReplyDeleteThe council should have pushed all of the budget deficit onto the courts (vs sheriff). Let them try to mandate us in the middle of this muck going on right now!
ReplyDeleteActually Judge Carmichal is mandating now... They are in meditation. I fear the worse will prevail.
ReplyDeleteIt would appear that Judge Carmichael will still attempt to ramrod her mandate for probation officers in spite of it all. Why you ask? Because she's a Clark County Circuit Court Judge that's why!
ReplyDeleteJudge Carmichael already filed a mandate for two more employees. She nor most of the other judges down there do not care what what us little plebes think, they want what they what when they want it. And rest assured they don't like to be told NO. From what I have ready only judge Moore seems to going against the grain and that is why the other judges want him gone.
ReplyDeleteThank all of you for your comments,it's an ugly situation. I agree with the last anon. I know Judge Moore somewhat and I believe him to be the genuine public servant.
ReplyDeleteThe other judges especially Jacobi not so much..be sure and check out the next 2 days on "Politics and Politicians"
